  8. Man… They stepped it up and gave them gear!!!! In the past they wrestled in school gear. Sounds like a great event. Congrats to all that participated.
  9. Yes! Mr Allred was a very dynamic man. He lived an amazing life and his journey and words of wisdom made an impact on many of us in our wrestling community. Mr Allred was wise beyond his years. He counseled me on multiple occasions and his words were from somewhere not of this earth. He was a very spiritual man who meant every word he said. He is and always will be missed by us all. I will be rooting hard for his son this weekend!!!
  10. I have been told that top 5 make it in. If that is the case, I have finished 5th. With that said, I would like to decline my 1st ballot honors to ensure that the best story teller ever, and friend to many, Tom Clark @grecoref ,be honored as a 1st ballot entrant to the IndianaMat Poster HOF. We miss your amazing stories friend!!!!! My time will come and until then my County brother @TeamGarcia will hold the HOF down for our community!!! Congrats to all the great posters that make this site so much fun!!!
  11. This guy from sports illustrated gives Indiana a lot of love…. https://highschool.si.com/wrestling/2024/02/29/national-top-25-high-school-wrestling-rankings-for-every-weight-class-2-29-2024
  12. @Zach Richards said….. hear me out…. like we haven’t done this 1,000 times!!!
  13. I coach at the other Brownsburg middle school and am proud to be a colleague of this warrior. You won’t find better man in our wrestling community. Last night, his team won the Hendricks County middle school wrestling tournament by over 100 points! It’s a VERY tough tournament full of current and future state champs. His team is awesome, and brings Coach Frepans warrior attitude each time they walk onto the mat. Coach Frepans team will finish the season this Saturday at our conference tournament in Zionsville (another stacked tournament). It Would be pretty cool to see coach Frepans team win him another team title!!
  14. @TeamGarcia of course!! Go back and look at the activity and post on the youth forum back when Asa and his crew were making the youth rounds. Dude was moving the needle!!! With that said!!!!!…. Youth forum has became a ghost town. Garcia get back on there and get this next generation going. Joe needs those thousands of views and post… Dig deep and make up something more annoying … errrr … awesome then #TheCounty. #ReviveTheTheYouthForum
  15. I’m trying to be nice about this with you. Clearly your kid has knee issues also. He had two very large knee sleeves on!! Is that just for looks? With that said, the issues popped up again Friday night. He made it that far.. he wasn’t going to quit after that. According to your post, im guessing your kid would have called it a season??? He did all he could and had to default in placement match when he couldn’t go anymore. By keeping going he helped the team win it. He’s feeling ok today and had no regrets and can’t wait for his ring. So to recap your concerns… 1. He took multiple injury times In the win against your son… that’s false 2. He took injury times during the match when he was about to get turned… false only stoppages were potentially dangerous calls by the best ref in the state. Injury time was taken after the knee was bent all crazy. Once it was stable he continued and continued to take shots in the third. 3. Now your issue is the culture of my family of hoe we handled this injury this season. I assure you my son had the best doctors, trainers avg physical therapist possible. You can’t just say… “nothing personal” and then question my kids integrity, my family culture and my parenting. That’s the definition of personal… Sour grapes much??? Again I’m trying ti be civil but you’re making it difficult. Let’s get this knee right and Caden will give him a rematch in a few months. Would that make you happy? I promise he will be a lot better then. I’m over this discussion. Again, super proud of my kid my state champs.
  16. Go back and watch the match was stopped because his knee was in a very weird position and the ref called it potentially dangerous. Injury did not stop it. The ref did. The hand on the head by a ref indicated potentially dangerous. The second stoppage was when your son got over 90 on the wing. Listen to the announcers. They said it was over 90 for a good while. It wasn’t stopped due to injury. The one and only injury time was taken after he tried to stand up after the first ref stoppage and the knee jiggled. If there were multiple injury times your son would have gotten choice. it is what it is. But.. maybe watching the match again will clear things up . I’m done arguing about it. They both had great seasons. Here’s he match in question all. The one and only injury time took place when his injured knee got really bent up. If he won without integrity and doesn’t deserve the win.. then I’m sorry. https://www.flowrestling.org/people/9785325-caden-brewer/video?playing=12134938
  17. Didn’t want this to be known, but now the cats out of the bag. The injury occurred again over the summer late. The choice was to fix it and miss the season or to tape it up and try to grind it and repair it after season. He chose to wrestle as it couldn’t get any worse and to get it fixed now (after season). With that said, it popped out and back in Friday night. It freaked him out. It was slipping all weekend. If he doesn’t set it when it slips, it can go all the way out. Long story short, he didn’t make it through his placement match and we were ok with what he accomplished this season. With all of this said… He has wrestled CP 4 times. Cruz twice and Will Clark twice. You guys never had a single drink during those losses. Never took injury against those monsters. Lastly.. if you are questioning the toughness or integrity of my kid.. you have never met him or the rest of my family. We don’t roll like that. Feel free to call and discuss. The author of this post @Chris Coopercan attest for how tough my boys are. My oldest wrestled for him one summer. Busted his eye wide open at Disney. We glued it shut with super glue 5 times to ensure Columbus East got 6 every round. He still rocks his scar with honor. Proud of my son and proud of my state champs!!! Crazy how the only hate in this site over the last few days is directed to the big three. That’s the world we live in now… 10 years ago all you would see is love for kids and hard work. We live in a society where people hate everyone and everything. It’s just sad!!!! Matt Brewer 317-201-0644
