  1. So weird! But yes that’s what happened.
  2. With all due respect (cause I do enjoy your takes). The headlock was illegal the whole time (no arm). Not sure why the ref let it go so long. That’s the issue not the lack of nearfall.
  3. Been great so far. Union county is TOUGH. Great showing by Floyd Central. Sucks that May is out. That’s a lot of points. The Cats look great. @BIGCATSontheMAT was absolutely right on that one. Can’t wait to watch finals.
  4. Tough kid. Best of luck to him. Let us know how he does.
  5. Lots of good wrestlers. 5 or 6 teams could win. Do not see a clear cut favorite. Who ever comes in healthy and can avoid early upsets will win. I think that we can all agree that the team race is up in the air!!! My oldest actually got to wrestle in this. He still has the champion shirt (which is very cool). It was awesome. Will it be broadcasted? Would really like to watch this year!
  6. I think those will finish 1,2 and 3. I’ve definitely been wrong before. Let’s hear your top three BIGCAT.
  7. Avon and Union County for team title will be a tight battle.
  8. This is 100 percent correct. Sit a few weeks. It sucks, but it will be worth it in the end if he plans on making a run in the tourney. Probably would go if it wasn't his big toe. Best of luck to your boy.
  9. Silas Allred has to be in the conversation. His senior year was amazing
  10. The public couldn’t handle that mustache!!!
  11. #TheCounty webcast with @JMILL and @TeamGarcia with analysis from @QuinnHarris and a weekly wrestler of the week featuring @FCFIGHTER170
  12. Agree with you. If you build a great program and the school is safe and has great academics, why would people not move in or attend such a school. If you build a great program at a great school, kids are going to get there. I mean you see the wrestlers because we all pay attention to our sport. But how many non-athletes make the choice to do that same thing as these athletes do? I assure you that there are plenty. We just do not notice because they are not elite athletes. I know a kid VERY well that was going to a school where he saw fights on most days and made Cs. That same kid who happens to be a pretty good wrestler has never seen a fight at his new school and now has a 4.0. With this said, do we say that anything is wrong with the kid moving schools??? If so … why??? I would like so serious thoughtful responses to chew on. Great private schools like EMD and Cathedral are not cheap. Hats off to families that sacrifice to give their kids the best opportunities possible.
  13. Sorry to disappoint. Been dealing with some personal stuff. That drunk rich guy that looks like Barney from the Simpsons did pipe up last week when I hit the site with an #TheCounty last week to shout out a top 5 dual. I really didn’t have the energy to fire back. But… you’re right.. we need to get some good debates going!
  14. Throw grades out the window. I would point out that two of the high schoolers there won a college open against some of the NCAAs best this season. I actually spoke with a 14 year old with a beard. All of these kids are freaks that have been training since 4 or 5 years old. It’s a tournament with 64 man brackets full of the best of the best period. The intensity is through the roof from the first whistle. So many top kids beat other top kids just to get injured in the next match or two. At 113 a kid beat the world champ, then had to MFF after. The stars must align perfectly to win this thing. One of our placers lost his front tooth!!! With that said, those kids that you mentioned would absolutely compete for titles there. Actually… Red was there all weekend. They all would have tough roads but could absolutely all have shots to win there. Many teams send one or two kids. in most case, full teams do not go. It’s just a matter of time before our next great high schooler goes and wins an Ironman title. Our next great kid will get a bid (regardless of school) and go get one. Can’t wait to see it!!
  15. 1. Wyoming Sem 268 points …… 11. Brownsburg 77 points …. 18. Crown Point 59.0 points 19.Center Grove 56.5 points …… 130. Walsh Jesuit 0 points … but probably $100,000 in pocket! All three in top 20 out of 130 teams.
  16. Revin getting a MFF… he will take 5th
  17. Living up to its name… gotta be an Ironman to get through it!!! Shout out to all the Ironmoms that stuck it out today. Indiana is doing well. Great seeing the Indiana kids that are wrestling at Mt. Carmel. Those boys are class acts.
  18. Match 1090 last match tonight
  19. It’s going to be a looooong night. Bout to start another round of wrestle backs then quarters to start after.

  21. Love seeing Avon doing well. Super thankful for my job at The Burg. I have coached most of the kids on both teams at one time or another. I look to hopefully seeing a top five match up this week. #TheCounty!!!!
  22. I kid I kid…. Hey… Ohio is doing pretty good out in Vegas. Definitely proud of my cats.
