Let's hope the injured Hoosiers are getting back to full strength.  I think losing Spangler hurts some points scoring.

Something has been up with Washington since the mid point of the season.  He seems to have lost his aggressive style.  I know his aggressive from the start style seemed to always gas him but he could usually rack up a bunch of points before fading.

Mt Vernon (Fortville) is hosting its annual JV tourney on December 21st. We have had some schools drop out due to not being out of school yet. Currently we have 9 teams and would like to get it back up to 12.  Weigh ins at 8:00, wrestling starts at 9:00. This is a great opportunity to get your jv kids some matches over the break. It's just $10 per wrestler, so if you only have a few it's a very inexpensive we to get them quality mat time. We will run 4 mats, with block style brackets to get 4-5 matches per wrestler.  If you are interested, please let me know and I will have a contract sent to your Athletic Director asap. 

Yes… you read that right. FREE mini-camp Tuesday, June 13th from 11:00AM-4:30PM with Kollin Moore @ Franklin Community High School. 
 
Kollin was a 4x AA and 3x Big Ten champ @ Ohio State. Competing for Team USA, U23 World Silver medalist, Junior World Bronze, Matteo Pellicone Ranking series champ, 2021 Olympic Alternate. 
 
Open for all ages but wrestlers must be able to stay focused and practice/compete for 5 hrs. This is not a babysitting session.

At Hobart, we have a sports mural in our field house. Previously, Hobart had 21 sports represented in this mural. With the addition of girls wrestling, and boys volleyball there had to be additions to the mural. Girls wrestling on our sports mural forever. Even better that the art is based off Hobart's first ever girls wrestling state placer, Keirys Click.

Manchester University to add women’s wrestling as varsity sport

NORTH MANCHESTER, Indiana — Manchester University will offer women's wrestling as a varsity intercollegiate sport starting in the 2024-25 academic year, making it the 50th NCAA Division III women’s team in the nation.

“The time is right to launch a women’s wrestling program at Manchester University. Interest in girls wrestling in high school is exploding and we are seeing that in Indiana,” said Director of Athletics Rick Espeset.

“We want to be at the forefront of helping grow the sport, providing the student-athlete experience to even more of our students and offering women the chance to compete at the college level,” he said. “We could not be more excited to add women’s wrestling.”
