  1. We get what we want at 132 Red/Lee final. Top half of 170 bracket is brutal. Wish we could've had Rypel/Davison in the finals but we'll get to see it nonetheless. Excited about a Woods/Paris final as well as B.Lee/Coy. Will be a great weekend. I wonder if Flo will be there. Plenty of nationally ranked kids going at it. #INDIANAWRESTLING. Oh yea Hudkins/Bailey has my interest as well.
  2. Agreed... I do however think it will be a similar type match as Micic-Lee. Good position and scores off of Lee's aggressiveness. Although I dont think it will be as lopsided. 7-4 Red
  3. Red is on school year older but I believe they are the same age. The year they won at Fargo they were both second year cadets. Couldn't have taken him down several times if Molloy only scored one point or am I missing something? Couldn't have taken him down several times if Molloy only scored one point or am I missing something?
  4. I guess the same could be said for Floyd as it was his second to last fight and signs of age began to show. Either way I'm extremely excited and intrigued by this match as I was for the aforementioned matchup.
  5. He truly looked like a man among boys. He is my 220 pick to win it all.
  6. I'll take Red 7-4. Kinda of reminds me of Manny vs Floyd boxing. Common opponents Floyd cruised and Manny demolished. When they met Floyd's defensive ability proved to be too much for Manny. I think we'll see that same kind of result, albeit being different sports. JMO
  7. I just saw in the paper that Chad Jr. Made first team USA all american. Super proud of you kid, you are wrestling on another level right now. Stay hungry and keep working your tail off. Doing a great job Sr.
  8. Yea, my birdie must have had a broken wing lol I was being sarcastic. Cj is a big time stud and I'm sure he'll have a great college career.
  9. A little birdie informed me that Penn state head coach made a visit and offered Cj Red last week. As did Nebraska's coach Manning and Borroughs. Not bad for a kid that is not quite one of Indiana's elite lol. Congrats kid and keep proving the nay sayers wrong by doing what you do.... Win
  10. I'll take Cash over both lee and James at 38.
  11. Chad Red is on another level than he was when James beat him. He took Some losses to the likes of Lamont from Utah and Simon from Michigan later at the duels. At Fargo and Super 32 he was a Completely different wrestler. He looked dominant against Lamont Who not even 3 months prior beat him worse than James did. I think Chad would beat him in a Close One if they wrestled again. I think Red and Lee are a toss up with the winner being able to get to his offense first. JMO
  12. Jared Timberman won Freakshow at 138 and Chad Red won Super 32 at 126. Both of these young men wrestle for New Palestine. I was wondering if any other school has had a champ at both tournaments during the same year. Congrats to both by the way.
  13. Dingo Brigade, I second your comment. Red has taken his wrestling to the next level and I would say he is becoming one of the top wrestlers in the country.
  14. Congratulations on your national title Chad. I've watched you grow up from a cute kid to a monster of a wrestler. You've done nothing but represent our great state and your family with success and humility. At this point of your career, your name belongs with the legends of our state before you. You have beaten all comers in Indiana and now the countries best. Keep up the good work and stay hungry... The best is yet to come from you.
  15. MCKAJC, I have a few issues with your post. First, this post isn't asking who is the best on their feet, simply who is the slickest. Secondly, I happen to know CJ Reds dad personally. I ran into him recently and asked him about this rtc ordeal and what this MCKAJC guy was referring to. Sr. told me that he knew who this guy is and said I don't know why he is always bashing my boy. He said that you have a boy around jrs age that is pretty good but he wouldn't tell me who your kid is. He told me that cj and your boy have been in the same weight at the same meet and Jr won and your boy didn't place. Is this what all the bashing is for? With all that being said, sr stated that at the rtc the only people that took cj down was micic, and Wilson. I'm not surprised by that as these guys were bigger and older than Jr. So is that what you are talking about? If so, again the post was asking for slickest, not best. Instead of constantly comparing cj to micic, perhaps you should focus on the task at hand.... Super frosh Nick Lee. Oh yea, I don't know who your boy is but can he beat cj and if not focus your kid getting better and not downing a 15 year old honor student that has done nothing but represent our state with class and excellence.
  16. Very surprised to see Whitford lose to Rutherford. I know Rutherford is a world champ and extremely tough, but I thought Ben would be a little too much for him. This is why we wrestle the macth one never knows.
  17. I've been waitng on this macth as well. I personally think Tsirtsis beats him rather handily.
  18. I thought that there were 11 freshman champs. I understand that a freshman champ is an elite club but being in ones "correct grade" makes that club even more eliete. I believe Greg Schafer from EMD was a 14 year old champ in 95 as he was a fargo champ at cadet the summer of his sophomore year. Again, this post is not intended to bash or belittle anyone whatsoever, Im just simply wowed by the skill level of these young guys.
  19. I was thinking over the weekend about the number of freshman that come to high school and win right away. I was surprised at the number of freshman state champs we've had, but even more surprised to see that I could think of only two in the last 30 years or so that hadnt been held back or started school late. If memory serves me correctly, Lance Ellis and Cj Red are the only two I could come up with. We have some very good freshman incoming that could win( Nick Lee, McCrary for example) but these guys are already cadets. Not bashing at all just wondered if there were more 14 year old champs. This makes being a freshman champ that much more impressive imo. Are there more?
  20. I am more interested in a Robinson vs Bernard macthup. I cant wait to sed all three of these yuys get after one another.
  21. Wrestler or not screw that guy and his brother!!! This is AMERICA and we dont play that s##t!!!
  22. Ive noticed that more wrestlers are wrestling at their more natural weights and are having success. In the past, it was thought that cutting gave you a better chance of winning, now we see the Oliver, Dake, Ruth, and Taylors of the world destroying that notion. (Mcdonough)
