For those wrestlers that were planning to attend Culver's Folkstyle we have the option of transferring your fees to the Yorktown tournament. Please email yorktownwrestlingclub@yahoo.com for special registration if you are interested in this option.

Yorktown Freestyle and Folkstyle tournaments have extended the registration deadlines to register on www.trackwrestling.com Freestyle (Saturday) - Registration closes 10:00 p.m. Friday, April 7th Folkstyle (Sunday) - Registration closes 10:00 p.m. Saturday, April 8th We will allow walk in registrations for both tournaments between 7:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m. both days. Weigh-ins will close at 8:30 a.m. Regardless of registration numbers, these tournaments WILL NOT be cancelled.

ISWA has the incorrect dates listed right now for the Yorktown tournaments. Freestyle is on Saturday, April 8th and Folkstyle is on Sunday, April 9th. The flyers attached to the event links are correct. Registration is open on TW.

Three tournaments are even in one location. The first tournament will be the Mooresville Folkstyle Open on Saturday, March 5th followed by 3 tournaments in one weekend on Sat-Sun, March 19th & 20th at the Columbia City Iron Eagle. Team competition will be held for top 3 teams. Entry fee is $5 per team. Each team is allowed a max of 10 wrestlers, but multiple teams may be entered. A wrestler may only be listed on one team roster. The winners are determined based on average points per wrestler. Team registration must be completed before the first match is wrestled. I happened to have had a similar idea to this. I have presented some ideas to the Pairings Development Director for consideration. I will add this suggestion as well.

Building on Infolady's response. The wrestler must declare after he/she weighs in that they want to wrestle at the higher weight class. If they do not declare, they will be moved to the weight class that goes with their actual weight.

We are looking for a few more teams for our elementary duals on Sunday, December 16th. Confirmed Teams: Yorktown Delta Westfield Columbia City Franklin Community Dragon Wrestling Club Cost is $200 per team roster of 20. Weight classes are the same as ISWA Elementary Team State. Weight is rounded down to the nearest pound. Weigh-ins start at 8:30 a.m. Coaches meeting at 9 a.m. Wrestling starts at 9:30 a.m. Pool format with crossover round for placements.
