  1. They probably thought if you wear a 14 or bigger that you are probably playing basketball.
  2. This morning I counted (if I counted correctly) 15 kids in the championship bracket and 50 in the consolations - and now 4 in the finals and only 4 in the consos. What a great tourney!!
  3. I am not sure "Indiana continues to disappoint." Indiana had a runner up, a 5th and two 7th's...not to mention the number of guys still wrestling late Friday. We also have 2 kids that are are ranked #1 in their weight class graduating and entering the Big Ten 10 next year. We can not forget how tough the NCAA tourney really is. The best kids don't always win and many of the past champions do not repeat. There are former wrestlers on this site, like me, that never wrestled at our state finals. I marvel at how far Indiana wrestling has come. Just my opinion, but I think we are progressing. And as a coach, I want to use these guys as examples to continue to improve Indiana wrestling.
  4. I am pretty sure you meant McIntosh at 145. I might consider him closer to a semi-lock.
  5. The Eppert/Wright matches continued to get more heated and intense each round/each year. They were fun to watch as a spectator, but I would have hated to be a coach or a parent. That had to be stressful.
  6. Stepping back from coaching AND publishing top secret information!!! What has happened to you? But seriously, taking a knee is not gonna slow BLee down. It will probably invite a couple clubs to back of head, and a go-behind. I guess that is a little less painless than being taken down to a turk and tilted 3-4 times.
  7. One more weight in the area that is prob most crowded with quality wrestlers. I like it ??
  8. SHHHHH! That was a secret! BTW, KJ did not wear knee pads or elbow pads.
  9. What is the reason? I am not sure why the IHSAA cares what kind of elbow pad or knee pad is worn.
  10. Not sure these kids wrestled, but Fremont Ross and Solon were both at Brecksville too.
  11. Isn't it humiliating to get pinned in 10 seconds?
  12. This was said when there was an off-season. lol
  13. I have heard for the past two years that Perry is down and they continue to show up and compete. I know 10th at IHSAA state finals would raise that argument, but in a dual meet, they are handful for anyone. Great showing for the team and coaching staff today!!
  14. I understand Rumph was out and Moran was at 113. Was Portage missing someone else? Perry vs. Portage - Who wins a dual meet with these two guys at their year-end weights?
  15. Warren looked like a completely different team today from last year. Those kids and coaches have obviously been working their butts off. Great early season duals!!
  16. It makes it easier for us lazy people to look in one spot - which is actually kind of nice.
  17. He is ranked #2 (maybe now #1) in the nation...why would he choose IU or Purdue?
  18. I am pretty sure that I heard Goldman was gone. Not true?
  19. Andrew Davison is entered at 220. That could have been an interesting matchup. I wonder if Davison was trying to wrestle Mason?
