I liked the 12 and under format that Perry and Franklin used for their duals. For our duals we used 8 under 40,45,50,54,58,63,69,78,90, 110 and
and 12 under 55,60,63,66,69,73,77,81,86,91,100,110,120,145,175, but there were a lot of FF.

Thanks TrippleB!

Anyone know when the selection of dates for next year tournaments will be? I though last year it was around May or June when ISWA had that meeting.

You got that right!

Thank you Infolady......

Anyone know if they will show the participants names before 03/05/10? It has a release date of 3/05/2010 for the wrestler list.

What would the Field House look like:
State Champ 103 Class 1A
State Champ 103 Class 2A
State Champ 103 Class 3A
State Champ 103 Class 4A
That is a lot of state champs for an individual sport.

Thanks for running a smooth duals,it don't get any better than this. Great Job Fanklin! Could some list the results?
-
What makes a tournament run smooth as ?ICE??
Is it having Faxed weigh-ins and live weigh-ins on Saturday (No-walk-in registration on Sunday)?
Is it Mat side pairing? (Bout Sheets are the biggest pain)
Is it Table Help?
Would having the Awards given out at the table help?
If over 500 kids, split into two gyms help? Last year Franklin had 760 kids and a ton of parents and no room to set. We got out of there around 6:30 and there were still kids wrestling. For the amount of wrestlers that showed up Franklin still ran a great tournament.

I think the two year format would be better if each wreslter would have to wrestle the age they are during that match. For example, 5&6, 7&8 and so on....Right now it is set-up that my 5 year old who will be 6 in November will be wrestling some 8 year old Bantams.
-
This was the format we had for our duals last year.
Ages: K-6th, not older than 12 years old
Weight classes: Eight and Under 40- 45-50-54-58-63-69-78-90-110
Nine and over 55-60-63-66-69-73-77-81-86-91-100-110-120-145-175

Brandi,
thank you for putting this together, for anyone who enjoys the sport of wrestling this is a great experience and not just for the kids. I don't think Hayden even realizes what just happened, but he had fun doing it. Team Indiana Blue and Gold never gave up and did a great job. The coaches did a great job and I thank you for taking the time to coach our kids. It was great to see how the kids bonded and cheered each other on and the parents too. We had a great time and hope to do it again next year.........
thank you for a great experience

Today at state there was a pee-wee match and some how there was some confusion on what period they were in. The score was all tied up after two periods and the ref was thinking it was overtime. The coach went to the table to explain that it was the third period. The ref setting on the floor stated that anyone who would argue over a pee-wee match should be kicked out, because the kids are out there to have fun. This was not over a bad call or points, just simple making sure they wrestled all three periods.
If you are a coach when do you say something and at what level is it OK to say something?
Does it start at Bantam, Intermediate, Novice or ever?
-
Does anyone know when the information will be released to see who has registered? Does the trackwrestling system let you know if you already registered? Will this system catch duplicates?
