  1. I have and he isn't even in them, so i would anticipate there will be a change come SATURDAY thanks for the obvious as I did start a thread topic on this earlier in the week, so let's not cancel him out just yet. What's your input as to why he won't win other than he isn't listed ?????
  2. In 3 year Mullins has 6 loses .-----Let's recap------2010-11 most recent to Ehr in a 3-1 losss---last year only 1 loss---to 2x Tsirtis-------go back to his Freshman year-----lost to Hawkins CP and placed 5th (last two years 1 loss at STATE place 5th then 3rd) and a couple of losses to Kieffer (not sure which one of the hundred, lol) MULLINS record something like 131-6 But if he loses, definetly a huge upset.....!!!!!! Im just not jumping ship on him yet, but we'll see what Saturday has in store for us. I wish every1 the best of luck,,,,,, I do take Mullins by 3 for my prediciton I do respect your opinion Y2, because anything is possible
  3. I did not see CONNOR MULLINS in the NCC brackets @ 152 lbs. or any weight class for that matter. Is something wrong or just a mistake?????
  4. To go along with all of this, Joe Caprino under the Semi-State rankings has 6 of NC wrestlers going through from a PRE-SEASON standpoint----things will change as the year takes its course but yes NC shall be competing for a spot in the team state finals too, maybe this will be there year, Roncali will be tough as nails, but Rankingsguy even in ur rankings u have 6 NC wrestlers as top 14 in the state in their weight classes, maybe im just confused or lost ???
  5. As soup was saying yes NC has a long shot/ somewhat legit shot of sending 7, no more than that, 5 is VERY likely. Mullins, Catron, Campbell---all placed last year Mofield, Rose-Lost in Ticket round Decker boys- One is young the other is pretty solid
  6. Prime Tme Camp is Great!!! Many past State Champions come in and help at the clinic along with the Yorktown Coaches and other Coaches from around the State. Its I believe a three to four day camp.
  7. I tell you what if this kid had the offense, he would be top 4 for sure, because he had the mental side down for the most part, I know he's not the best built or athletic 215 lber but he can scrap and hold his own. I was very impressed how he was NEVER overwhelmed and kept his composure, which was great. He had a great attitude on and off the mat, and the thing I liked most about him was that he didnt have much offense but at the same token did enough really to put pressure on his opponents and get some late takedowns in the tournament. A huge thumbs up for Kyle, he is an example to many kids out there in the state that didn't do se well this year, to really put it together this offseason from a mental aspect and be ready to accept all the challenges that the mat has to offer next year. Respect all, fear none. COngrats KYLE!
  8. Perfect summary, very boring finals this year, VERY boring
  9. Mullins had a bad day yall. If anyone on this board would have seen his quarters match, he wasn't very sharp, he only beat the previous guy, who I believed placed 7th 3-2 on a last second reversal. It just wasn't meant to be for him. Yes he had an outstanding year and he DID NOT give a single takedown. I would say that if Mullins wrestles Tsirtis again that Mullins will not choose bottom in the third, maybe the second, but Mullins is very very good on his feet. I think Mullins has a great shot to beat anyone from 130-140 next year. He WILL NOT avoid anyone. I repeat HE WILL NOT AVOID ANYONE. Mullins is up to the challenge and WILL NOT BACK DOWN. Mark my words. Thanks and God bless to all. Can't wait til next year, but first good luck to all wrestling this weekend at Team and Good luck to all the seniors in IL in a couple of weeks.
  10. 1st class all the way! He did it the WRIGHT way!
  11. New Castle is the same, both school's kids were great sports again this year at state, well mannered, respectable. they never taunt opposing wrestlers and keep there dismay to themselves, that's the ones that make it to state that i'm speaking of.
  12. Tsirtis keeps wrestling likes this it will be really tough for him to win all four years, I know he has been good in tight matches, obviously, he does not look like a clear cut four-timer at the moment, Phillips has a lot better chance as of right now
  13. can't wait to see a rematch, clearly Mullins is best on his feet, didn't give up a takedown all year,,,congrats to Tsirtis
  14. WELL this match was better than alot of the other ones,,,, 112,,,130,,,215,,,,that's where the stalling was. Janney did just enough, this is coming from a HWY, Travis was fustrated, and i didn't see his offense as much as his previous matches, so he can blame his conservativeness on his loss to Janney.
  15. COuldn't of said it any better. In the FInals I though, Lentz was wrestling pretty good, and CLeveland was the one who was taking the non-aggressive track, almost cost him the match.....
  16. Very bad call, it was the ref's fault. PERIOD!
  17. At least 1 person agrees with me......
  18. Thumbs up, way up!!!! Thanks INDIANAMAT
  19. Very bland finals overall, not much excitement, 189 was a good one as was the HWY, anyone agree????
  20. Campbell and Mullins have as good a shot as anyone to be under the lights. Alex Catron really impressed me, even though finishing 8th, I want to congratulate the boys, ALL very respectful in their wins and losses at state. Bad breaks or not, they kept there composure and were very 1st class
  21. More sloppy bad wrestling than good wrestling this weekend as compared to previous years. Stalling was the theme this year more so than I can remember. I hope we have another Howe in the making to add more excitement. Besides that I want to congratulate all the Champs. Porras wrestled his rear off to prove to evry1 that he is a top wrestler. ALso congrats to him for his award, very well deserved. There was a lot of wrestlers who showed bad sportsmanship, hopefully with time they can mature and become great men, since wrestling teaches us many valuable things we learn & keep through the rest of our lives. Cody Philips is a wonderful wrestler. Fun to watchin him,,,,,beat numerous tough kids. (petrov, brooks, etc.) Knura is a gr8 wrestler. The locked hands thing, wow. I can't wait to see him next year. The refs had MANY bad calls and some very HARD -TO -SEE good calls. Heck If I can see the mistake from way up in the third deck, there's a good chance it was a missed call. I'm not always correct. I thought a lot of kids stalled there way to it, hell the heavyweights took more shots in the final (over 8 between Janney and Travis) that I counted. We ALL would like to see some more offense, not necessarily just taking shots just to make the fans happy, but to push or move the match in a more crisp pace. No comment on Willis-Vlahos ordeal.
  22. To the ones that don't like him. Well in this society we live with and have haters. We have people who don't like others because they cant beat them or be like them. Take for instance any major superstar. Troy is loud and obnoxious at times but that's his personality and I have never had a problem with him. I said we have people, not that EVERYONE in this world that criticizes is out of pure jealosusly, that would be pure ignorance on my part if i did, y'all probably misinterepreted my comments. Clown is a word that went over board. I believe that if there is any problem with anyone on this planet, you GO DIRECTLY to them and express your opinion, a solution, and gratitude. YOU DO NOT go on a board and say O coach A is great but his assistant coach B is a clown (in a way that that particular person does not like the assistant and even crticizes that only his experience is what is keeping him there and having that job) . I felt that he tried to seperrate the good coach on the staff from the BAD one??? lol My #1 problem is that an individual would call someone out like that. I understand that this is a public forum, and it's just opinion. I think that he/she let their emotions and opinions get the better of them and I probably didn't word my response in a proper fashion either. But you will never see me bash a kid or coach no matter the situation, ANd if I have a problem I'll go right to them, the source, or what I believe is the source. To Decbell1, Dulaney is not the head coach of YT. So he does not have a record against them , and that individual who made the "clown" comment is probably still upset over the team regional loss that Belmont sufferred to YT. My opinion. GOod luck to everyone this weekend.
  23. I personally like Coach Dulaney, He brings the WOOD every time a match is going on. He barely sits on his chair and I'm suprised he has any gas in his voice at the end of matches as he gives the wrestler 110% of his energy. He is a no nonsense , no excuses, do it 110% and no moaning or griping about it. Gr8 person and Motivator, Has done a lot for me, and he KNOWS his stuff very well. To the ones that don't like him. Well in this society we live with and have haters. We have people who don't like others because they cant beat them or be like them. Take for instance any major superstar. Troy is loud and obnoxious at times but that's his personality and I have never had a problem with him. CLown is a very funny word used in one of the earlier comments. DO WHATEVER it takes to give your wrestler the advantage. Last time I checked a coach yelling Stalling is not against IHSAA wrestling rules. SO I hope evey 1 is ready because I know Troy is gonna be making some noise at State, But it will be there wrestlers on the mat that will too, which I believe they will have 2 champs. We will see. Good luck to Yorktown wrestlers and coaches at State and Team State:)
  24. 2New castle(depends on 130 semi match) 2 union couny 2 mishawaka 2 castle 2 crown point(depends on 130 semi match) 2 yorktown
  25. It's less than 24 hours til state, I would like to personally wish each and every wrestler along with their coaches, the parents, relatives, friends, families and just pure wrestling fans a safe drive to Conseco and let's make this year the best year!!! And good luck to ALL competing!
