  1. I've heard there is no criteria for this and MD did in fact tie with Avon. They are getting a plaque mailed to them. The IHSAA site shows them as tying as well.
  2. A short clip of how the intros started out in Evansville.
  3. Here's a small sample of what the Evansville semi-state was.
  4. The popcorn is popping, the coffee is brewing, and most importantly, the mats are rolling here at the Ford Center. Got here dark and early to get things ready for today, can't wait.
  5. Don't think there will be video, but I could be wrong.
  6. It's starting to smell and feel like wrasslin' in here! The mats, scoreboards, and podium have arrived at the Ford Center!
  7. Head to www.thefordcenter.com for parking info. The live results will be on trackwrestling.com. Yes, there will be coffee and water in the hospitality room all day.
  8. Fixed it. We do not clear the arena between rounds. Not sure how long the breaks are, but I think the one before the finals is at least 30 minutes.
  9. Time for my annual "info directly from the Ford Center" post. (copied to another thread as well) As some of you know, I work at the arena for management and, being an avid wrestling fan, this is my favorite event of the year. Some info for all of those attending. Parking and general information about the arena can be found at www.thefordcenter.com Wrestlers can enter the arena at 7:30am for weigh ins. Wrestlers and coaches will enter at the interior ticket office lobby (to the far right of the main lobby doors) to check in and head back. You will pick up your credentials here. The only coolers allowed are for wrestlers and must enter at the check in table through the interior ticket lobby. NO OUTSIDE FOOD OR DRINK is allowed inside unfortunately. Not my rules, just standard building policy. Public doors open at 8:00am CST. Enter on Main Street through the main lobby. We will look to create a separate door/entrance for those that already have tickets. There is NO onsite parking. Please do not have any team vehicles attempt to park in the loading dock or attached outer lot. These are reserved spots. There is no public Wi-Fi. Tickets are $10 cash at the door. There is an ATM in the lobby if you need to get some cash out. Please do not jump over the dasher walls to access the floor. They try to control access to the floor, so you need to enter from the lower level hallway under section 103. You wouldn't jump the wall at Banker's Life would you? lol The hospitality room for officials, etc. will be in the Corner Club. Enter from the main lobby and hang a right at lower level hallway. If you are going to set up a camera please do not have the cord running across the aisle. You will be made to unplug any cords running across an aisle. We will have full concessions available throughout the day. Coffee and hot chocolate are also available all day as well. (get the bbq pork nachos, huge and awesome) There is no smoking on or in the Ford Center property, this includes e-cigarettes. Brackets will be updated throughout the day and posted on several of the 170 or so TVs located all over the arena. The brackets end up kind of small, but hey, they are everywhere and pretty cool. Lastly, if you are a wrestler that loses please don't kick, throw, or punch Ford Center property. We had a kid break off a door handle last year. Sent the bill to the school. That's all I have for now. Please let me know if you have any questions. And if you see a good looking guy with a radio and Ford Center shirt running around all day, say hi.

  11. I will be there with the ladies that set the lobby up and will let them know that this is not a bad idea. We will try to make it better this year.
  12. They WILL without a doubt produce at least one.
  13. Thanks for your hard work in doing these. Much appreciated.
  14. Yeah, I found them a minute ago and came here to edit my post. Thanks though!
  15. I have looked and can't seem to find brackets. Are there any yet? Trying to decide on how early to get there. Any help would be appreciated.
  16. And I wanna know who these naysayers are.
  17. I think they booed because when Egli tossed him straight to his back and was gonna go for the pin it was stopped by the ref. I don't think most people realized the wrestler appeared injured, which evidently he wasn't since 10 seconds later he was thankfully ok to continue. They stopped booing once they saw the wrestler could have actually been hurt.
  18. I read in another thread that Konrath suffered a bad knee injury today. Not sure how bad yet, but bad enough he had to injury default. Hopefully it's not season ending.
  19. Let us know if you hear of any updates on the injury. Hopefully it's not season ending. Would hate that for the young man.
  20. 2 seemed fair. Lol Pretty dominant day by the Cats obviously. Some thoughts: Luigs is having really solid season as you can tell. He's not going to be an easy out for anyone in the tourney. Egli is a beast. Watching him and seeing how good he is makes you realize just how good Konrath really is as well. Can't wait for the second installment of their matchup. I sure hope Johnson gets a good draw and always gets put on opposite sides of Red. He could go far without running in to Red first. The Lee boys speak for themselves. Hopefully Joe gets a good draw as well as I could see him getting deep in the tourney. Blake and Forzley are both capable of beating just about anyone when they put their mind to it. They just both seem to get a little gassed and complacent at times. Today, I thought the Forzley match was going to be a close one and then WHAM, spladle for the fall out of nowhere. Bassemier looks really tough this year. I would love to see him place this year. Lastly, I wish Butler would be a little more aggressive. He's so fast and strong, use it more big man!
  21. Had to attach it from my computer. None of these icons showed up on my phone, both from mobile and full versions.
