  1. FYI - We still have at least 3 loge boxes completely empty and available but they are going faster than I thought. Great reserved seats!
  2. As some of you know, I work at the arena for management and, being an avid wrestling fan, this is my favorite event of the year. Some info directly from the Ford Center for all of those attending. Parking and general information about the arena can be found at www.thefordcenter.com Wrestlers can enter the arena at 7:30am for weigh ins. Wrestlers and coaches will enter at the interior ticket office lobby (to the far right of the main lobby doors) to check in and head back. You will pick up your credentials here. The only coolers allowed are for wrestlers and must enter at the check in table through the interior ticket lobby. NO OUTSIDE FOOD OR DRINK for anyone else is allowed inside unfortunately. Not my rules, just standard building policy. Public doors open at 8:00am CST. Enter on Main Street through the main lobby. We will look to create a separate door/entrance for those that already have tickets. There is NO onsite parking. Please do not have any team vehicles attempt to park in the loading dock or attached outer lot. These are reserved spots. There is no public Wi-Fi. Tickets are $10 cash at the door. Premium loge seats are available for purchase now and on event day. They are $40 pre-event and $30 if you show up and want them day of. They include a $15 concessions voucher. There is an ATM in the lobby if you need to get some cash out. Please do not jump over the dasher walls to access the floor. They try to control access to the floor, so you need to enter from the lower level hallway under section 103. You wouldn't jump the wall at Banker's Life would you? lol The hospitality room for officials, etc. will be in the Corner Club. Enter from the main lobby and hang a right at lower level hallway. If you are going to set up a camera please do not have the cord running across the aisle. You will be made to unplug any cords running across an aisle. We will have full concessions available throughout the day. Coffee and hot chocolate are also available all day as well. (get the bbq pork nachos, huge and awesome) There is no smoking on or in the Ford Center property, this includes e-cigarettes. Brackets will be updated throughout the day and posted on several of the 170 or so TVs located all over the arena. The brackets end up kind of small, but hey, they are everywhere and pretty cool. Lastly,if you are a wrestler that loses please don't kick, throw,or punch Ford Center property. We had a kid break off a door handle last year.Sent the bill to the school. That's all I have for now. Please let me know if you have any questions. And if you see an extremely good looking guy with a radio and Ford Center shirt running around all day that's me, say hi.
  3. Weird, I didn't know that. Wonder why they did that?
  4. Sam is a Wildeman and Kurtis is a Wilderman, so no relation.
  5. Sammy the Bull!! Just watched that 03 finals on Youtube recently.
  6. It was in the Evansville paper, so I guess it's ok for me to say it was a lower back injury.
  7. There is handicapped parking right across the street in front of the Civic Center on weekend event days that is available for you to use. It's not right along side the building, but it's pretty close.
  8. That door is propped open every year by the smokers. I smell it and feel it just about every time I go to Castle as well. I knew exactly what you were talking about.
  9. **UPDATED ** You can buy ahead of time for $40 and it includes your ticket and food voucher or you can buy day of event after you enter for $30. Details below. For the Evansville semi-state at the Ford Center we will have several premium loge seats available for purchase upon entering the arena. These are seats that are not being used by the normal loge seat season ticket holders that we are offering up for this event. To purchase a loge seat you need to go to guest services on the concourse level at section 101 after you enter the arena and tell them you are interested. The cost is $30 per seat and includes a $15 food voucher good at the concession stands. You will have your own nice private seat that has a small tv in between each one. This does NOT include your ticket in to the arena. This is for the loge seat and food voucher only. You can pre-purchase your ticket by contacting me and it will include your admission ticket and food voucher for $40. I will be posting up my annual Ford Center info thread soon in anyone is actually interested. Markio
  10. I'm the production manager at the Ford Center, I promise it's 85' wide. Standard hockey rink width. We lay the mats 4 across.
  11. It's actually 85' wide x 200' long unless we pull in the retractable seats, which would then give you about 30 more feet of length. I would not recommend the exhibit hall at the convention center. It would be hard to see without any kind of theater style seating. Views would SUCK.
  12. I don't think it has been in the past. Maybe track wrestling scoring but not video.
  13. I'm gonna get to watch both days this year, pretty stoked. Will give updates as needed/wanted.
  14. You get a copy of the movie and you're darn right I can. Private showing, all you can eat popcorn. Lol
  15. What's up with Will Egli from MD? Is he hurt too?
  16. I agree with that as well. I'm just saying it makes it sounds like his backup is going to lose every match when in reality we don't know how it's going to pan out.
  17. His backup won last night, so not entirely true. IMO, they usually have a few guys on the team that SHOULD be ranked but aren't. (every year they have one or two IMO) Have you seen Wildeman wrestle at 220? He is a pretty darn good wrestler and don't be surprised if he goes far this year.
  18. Mater Dei's Kurtis Wilderman is a pretty darn good QB this season. 2275 yards, 21 TD passes, with only 3 INTs and an 11-0 record.
  19. Not that big of an upset? Beating the #1, and nationally ranked kid? That's an upset if there's ever been one. Way to go Joe!!
  20. I asked his parents after the match when they were with him on the floor and they thought it could be an ACL injury. Obviously they were just going off of guesses the on site docs and medical staff were giving them, so hopefully he can continue.
  21. Mighty defensive. Is someone supposed to answer with #1 or #2? I don't get it.
  22. Like I said, I heard MD will be getting a plaque.
