I know of few wrestlers to have 0 coming into sectionals and go to state and place...Jose escobedo did it as well iirc.. Jeremy motl did it in 97 due to a knee injury from football.. he placed 7th at HW and was not it full form being a 215 pounder when in peak condition... mean mean dude on the mat and a great dude off..

you need to do a percentage on good shots vs bad... you could be in on a beautiful sweep single multiple times but have darren Elkins whizzer and not get a takedown the whole match but that doesn't mean you til a bad sho..I don't think there's honestly a way to get a average in being it varies so much from each wrestler..I like your thinking process though..

170 and 82 are tough too...Imho 82 has 3 podium placers if there isn't death draw for ticket round with brewer, carson and bellamy.. 170 has south, Blubaugh,McCartney and baptiste are all killers too... Last year was my first year at any SS other than NC and I must admit its right there with NC.. awesome environment and elite talent...132 though looks the deepest and def is 1 of the deepest at any weight or a semi state.

looking solid! I know it's a new year but Carson majored Farrell and beat bacon 10-0 as well last time they wrestled.. after the spartan classic he should have some good competition and that'll help with ranking him.. dudes very underrated And is wrestling like a man possessed.

yep same ol barnes..I ended up being his team mate and friend through mma.. he had 1 mean streak and was a dangerous man in the cage.. he actually became tim Sylvia's main sparring partner when tim was still in decent shape and fighting.

I see talks of mooresville and other legendary xmas tournaments so in figured I would get the ball rolling on this specific tournament.. what are some possible match ups we could see? @182 there are a lot of big possible matches with #14@170(but is going 182 ) T carson,#12 Farrel,#10 Bacon, #6 winner, NC ss #7 calderon, and possibly #3 NC ss @82 and state #6@170 mahan and possibly Ec ss #6 @182 and state ranked 9@195 Potasky...and Fw Ss #7 hetzner rounding out the field. I know Carson has wins against farrel,bacon,calderon,mahan and potosky the last time Trizton wrestled all these studs but this is a new year and things can change over time.. he's never wrestled winner but i'm looking forward to seeing it.. what's some of your favorite possible match ups?

@182 T Carson put on a takedown clinic today with 33 takedowns and 5 pins vs the field at Green castle holiday tourney..was up 13-2 then pinned a very solid opponent in Clay Whitney of Monrovia.

Parkinson beat Carson at ihpo(albeit first matches after surgery) and just beat ihpo champion Blubaugh.. kid is a stud..as for mahan you can't ever count him out cuz he shocked the state last year and beat lowe who had previously beat him multiple times.

He's not the only dangerous 1.. except I don't pick on animals.. I've got plenty problems myself but never would turn coward like this.. I've tangled with a lot more savage guys than him..my heart don't pump koolaid bud...so dangerous that he's 0-3 vs geese.. only persons fight record worse is chris browns.. defend a psycho if you want but he isn't scaring nobody especially 1 that would rip his limbs off if he tried some funny stuff vs a real man not some poor bird..we wil see how dangerous he is when he's in prison with other ppl that aren't right. -
