  5. Go behind for Torres on a bad shot makes it 6-1 and he cuts Potter for a 6-2 lead. 3rd caution gives Potter a point. 6-3 with a minute left. Questionable no takedown call. Potter had an ankle hooked but no takedown awarded. Stalling warning makes it 6-4 and Torres fends off a late flurry to win. Bulldogs lead 31-27 headed to last match 126- Justin Johnson MV vs. Noah Lamore CP Johnson with a quick double leg gets out to a 2-0 lead. Lamore escape makes it 2-1 Single leg up to a body lock and Johnson lifts and finishes for a 4-1 lead. Lamore escape makes it 4-2 and he adds a takedown of his own on a single leg to tie things at 4 Great first period ends tied at 4 and Lamore chooses down to start the 2nd Scratch that. Johnson is down to start the second. Lamore with a couple of big lifts and returns. Riding tough with under a minute left in 2nd Johnson to his feet and Lamore pulls him off the mat for a fleeing the mat call. 5-4 lead for Johnson. CP bench not happy with that one. Lamore down to start the 3rd trailing 5-4 Johnson elects to go neutral and the match is tied 5-5 Nice go behind for Lamore off of a bad shot and he takes a 7-5 lead with the takedown. Escape Johnson makes it 7-6 with 30 to go. Lamore fights off a very close call on a single leg to win the match 7-6 CP wins the dual 34-27
  6. 1 for Moran at the buzzer. 6-2 win for DelaPena and the Bulldogs lead is cut to 28-27 120- Potter MV vs. Austin Torres CP Torres with a quick takedown takes a 2-0 lead Stalling on top for riding parallel. First period will end 2-0 Torres to the bottom to start the 2nd. Reversal Torres on a switch makes it 4-0 midway through the 2nd double stalling makes it 4-1. Both guys were just laying there in the eyes of Henry Wilk. That's how the second period will end. Potter takes neutral to start the 3rd
  7. Moran drops to an ankle and giving DLP trouble here. MV bench wants stalling on top 2 reversal for DelaPena at the buzzer 4-0 headed to the 3rd. Moran chooses down and DLP elects to put them neutral. 4-1 Moran holding onto an elbow in DLP's front headlock makes it tough to score but he finally gets behind to take a 6-1 lead with short time left.

Takedown for Kelly makes it 8-7 and that's the final. 8-7 Godinez. 28-24 CP headed to 113 113- Michael DelaPena MV vs. Jon Moran CP DelaPena scores a go behind to take a 2-0 lead. That's how they will end the first. DelaPena chooses down to start the second.

  10. Jones with a bunch of 3rd period takedowns with low singles to pick up the major 11-3. CP leads 19-12 182- Richardson MV vs. Mihailo Branch CP 4-2 Richardson after 1 6-5 Richardson after 2. Some sloppy but entertaining back and forth wrestling going on. 10-8 Richardson with 30 sec left in neutral 2 at the buzzer for CP! Overtime. Takedown for Branch of CP in overtime to win 12-10 and the Bulldogs lead 22-12 195- Perry MV vs. Akers CP Akers scores first TD with a single thru the middle. 2-0 and we have blood time towards the end of the first. 1 escape at the buzzer for Jairus Perry. 2-1 after one. Perry down to start the second. Perry looks much bigger than Akers physically. Perry is out makes it 2-2 midway through the second. Stall warning Akers. He's down to start the 3rd. Perry overpowering him from the top position has him broken down flat for the whole first minute of the 3rd. Still tied 2-2 Escape Akers and a quick takedown for Perry with a near side cradle. Followed up with 2 near fall at the buzzer for a 6-3 win for Perry. 22-15 CP after 195 220- Morgan Kral CP vs. Brandon Streck MV Quick takedown for Kral. And a cradle ends the match in a fall! 28-15 CP after 220 285- Shawn Streck MV with a 13 second fall. 28-21 Bulldogs headed to 106 106- Kaelin Kelly CP vs. Godinez MV Godinez gets the opening takedown. 2-0 one minute in. Escape for Kelly and a single leg at the buzzer for Godinez makes it 4-1 after 1
  11. 160- Darden Schurg picks up a second period fall to make it 15-12 CP after 160 170- Turner MV vs. Dax Jones CP 2-1 Jones after 1. MV picks down
  12. Akers adds a takedown. 7-2 after 2 Akers looks like the weight cut is getting to him. Rode out the whole 3rd period. Looked tired. 7-2 decision for CP. 6-3 MV after 2 matches Covaciu vs. Daylan Schurg at 145 4 takedowns for Covaciu. The last one a foot sweep to the back for a fall! 12-3 pirates 152- Kasch CP vs. Merrillville backup didn't catch the name Kasch with the 2nd period fall. 12-9 pirates after 4 matches
  13. Starting off with a good one.. 132 Clarence Johnson vs. Zach Donaldson Johnson scores first on a quick reattack double and Donaldson escapes. 2-1 after 1 Donaldson down. Escapes to make it 2-2. Takedown Johnson on a sweep single makes it 4-2. Tough ride to finish the period on top. 4-2 after 2. Johnson down to start the 3rd. Escape makes it 5-2. Cross knee pick from a front headlock for Johnson. Takes Donaldson to his back and gets the fall!!! 6-0 merrillville. 138- Derrick Scott MV vs. Riley Akers CP 5-2 Akers after 1. Some wild scrambles in that first period.
