Clint Gard got a reaction from Nate Spangle in 24-25 Scheduling
With the calendar rolling and looking a little different for the 24-25 season, can an IHSWCA Officer tell us if Team State will be Jan 4th or Jan 11? Also, @Ironbear do you know where the girls Regional, SS, and State series will fall in 2025?

This is showing my age but James Tannehill (sp?) was a big influence and figure in Indiana Wrestling when I competed and first started coaching. Saw him almost every weekend!

Clint Gard reacted to JC123 in Stalling
Something needs to be done about wrestlers who wrestle on the edge of the mat. Last 2 years Center Grove 190 against Purdy last year Henry this year and anybody good last year and this year wrestles so you can’t get points against him it is the worst thing to watch. Goes out of bounds probably 10-15 times anytime close to score and stalling is never called until crowd goes crazy for minutes. And officials are so different on calling stalling it needs to be fixed.

Clint Gard reacted to Silence Dogood in Qualifier parent tickets?
My only gripe is that it seems like the event planners put more thought into activities and events outside of watching the actual wrestling than they did in thinking about how to make sure those that are their to watch their kids wrestle have a smooth process for doing so.

Clint Gard reacted to MamaRioux in Qualifier parent tickets?
I finally figured out after trying to use the codes I got for my two kids, that you have to use a separate Ticketmaster account with each code. If you use the same account it will say you have exceeded your ticket limit. Dumb!!

Clint Gard reacted to Christopher Bohn in Semi-State Death Pods / Ticket Round Matches
The least intrusive way to do wrestlebacks would be this. You lose in the first round, and you are done. If you lose in the quarters, then you have to hope the guy who beat you wins in the semis and then you wrestle the guy who lost in the semis. It would add 28 total matches to the day. Divide 28 by 4 mats, so 7 matches per mat. Each match takes about 10 minutes let's say, so you're adding about 60-70 minutes to the day.

We don’t go that way so we don’t care now. But I’ll take a shot at it… a 1 will wrestle a 4 and a 2 will wrestle a 3.

The last several years I did my son's and was 100%, and years ago I did my others son's. I didn't do all weights but did the others from our school that qualified and were accurate. I can only speak for the ones I did. Sorry to comment!

You guys figured it out, and as a punishment, the IHSAA moved you to East Chicago 🤣.

Clint Gard got a reaction from TheTruth1 in Semi-State Draws
I don’t think I said anything about knowing how they would go this year but, last year, we were able to know/predict who we would have based on 5-6 years of brackets from the FT Wayne SS. If I remember correctly, one of my assistants nailed the draws for all of our guys. So think what you want, but that doesn’t seem “random” to me.
