  1. My wife's is usually around state weekend too. Her gift is usually that I leave her at home.
  2. I believe that a few years after his, and the other Griffith boys, run the IHSAA adjusted the event participation rules a little bit to try to avoid such large regular season match totals. This would basically prevent anyone after from having a chance to reach those type of numbers. Although, the advent of some many 2-day (only equals 2pt.) events in the last few years has allowed some teams to start creeping back closer to those totals again.
  3. Heck they may do some damage there. Correction looks like it worked.
  4. Not a complaint, but maybe an oversight. Evan Bullock of Brown County is listed at 145 and 152. I believe 145 is where he has been at lately.
  5. You're dreaming about this in your sleep now Mike? Man the life of a rankings guy is rough.
  6. Way to go Walton. Even though he doesn't quite get the talk that His teammate BLee gets, he's still one of the top wrestlers to come out of the Junior class. And he was a head taller than his competition even back the.
  7. Although many of the top guys clear that mark, in the whole scheme of HS wrestling not a lot of wrestlers ever actually get there. Good for him.
  8. Thanks for the updates. Much better than waiting on the carrier pidgean to get here.
  9. Ashnaults a stud, but in the consols when things start going south and you've already lost that fire they soon go real south real bad.
  10. Dang that last Star Wars moving must have really done a number on you TripleB. No seriously thanks for all your time and efforts over the years with the rankings. I know it's a bigger undertaking than it looks on the outside. I'll see you around.
  11. Is this some type of computer virus disguised as brackets? I've been told to watch out for these type of unbelievable links. Thanks for getting them uploaded. At least it's a step in the right direction for the event, even if it came though a second hand method.
  12. They are working on upgrading their communication from the pony express. New technology should help get the word out.
  13. Bloomington North is currently coached by Marty Hutsell who was a two time state champ, multi-time big-10 placed, many coaching accolades in Georgia, and the son of legendary Bloomington coach Kay Hutsell. They may not have the current depth of BSouth, but as far as learning some old school toughness I think they are in good hand with Coach Hutsell.
  14. Yes, family moved to the Bloomington area when Tommy began attending IU. He's having a solid tournament so far. Smith from Bloomington North is another solid move-in pick up that BLN got this season If I recall he comes by way of California. He's also had a nice tournament other than a run in with the older Bailey. On a related moving around note Cash's finals opponent Walendzak started in Bloomington before attending Cathedral.
  15. Runner-up. I remember him losing to some Zane Retherford fella.
  16. The Semis have traditionally been during the early part of Day 2. I don't have the official itenterary in front of me but Day 1 in the past was usually wrestled until the field is narrowed down to the final 8 wrestlers. With Day 2 being the rest of the rounds to finalize the placement.
  17. Two great days of wrestling begins at Mooresville starts up tomorrow. With the depth of teams they have added over the last several years we should see some great matches even on Day 1.
  18. I believe the team involved in setting this up took a lot of suggestions after last year and tried to make it a much more enjoyable environment for this years fans. Glad to hear the positive feedback.
  19. They used to only seed the top 8 positions. Since expanding the number of teams further I'm not sure how far they now seed to but I don't believe they seed all the way out to the 13th or even the 20th spots. Those bracket positions are drawn in which would explain the various records for those spots.
  20. Well in some cases the IHSAA has heard about it through other sources and chosen to investigate even though the previous school signed off.
