    Thoughts:
Chad Red doesn't appear to be improving at all and has lost to every significant opponent this year.  It appears to be only a matter of time until IU passes Purdue up. Angel has brought a totally different vibe. There's still a lot of straight on offense and guys struggling to create action, but I can see a definite change in the program.  Micic looks like a champion to me. Poised and calm, he's straight up wrecking guys. He's on a Hodge type trajectory. He's 9-0 with 2 Falls, 2 TF, 3 Majors. The way he broke Pletcher was impressive.

The thing that stands out to me when watching this team is how loose and creative they are. You can see the wear and tear on a lot of teams, even early on. They all seem to be wrestling with a sense of joy. Nobody is matching this team offensively right now. Most of these guys do not struggle getting to their opponents... at all. Yes they're getting one blue chip after another, but even middling guys like Gulibon seem like they can get to their offense at will.

Gulibon was getting owned in this match before the 3rd period then this happened

It got ugly but the future is looking pretty good. A lot of guys melted, which I always hate to see, but it's early. I'll remain optimistic for now.

Streck is a savage and he's ranked higher as a RS frosh than Kral has ever been. Hope he hangs around as a workout partner.

There are countless college coaches at Fargo every year ranging from coast to coast; D I, II, III, JuCo, & NAIA.  They are interested in the wrestlers that are there, period.    They are interested in the wrestlers who put in the time, commitment and dedication to train and compete at Fargo.  Even the smaller programs are just looking for wrestlers that want to put themselves around the best, and compete against the best, AA or not.  Besides, even if you go 0 - 2 in competition, there are 10 practice sessions at camp and a half dozen or so at Fargo.  Heck, you can go get on the mat whenever you want at Fargo, there's an entire gym with 17 mats open 12 hours a day that is for practice only.  Wrestlers that were eliminated early, were getting workouts in during the days of competition. I had one of my wrestlers working out with college coaches one on one...valuable stuff.  Trust me, these coaches see these kids work and commit themselves to the sport and it carries a lot of weight, win or lose.  The big difference is, and this is where you get confused, if you AA there, you are almost guaranteed to be approached by the more elite programs. Being an AA in Fargo holds a much higher prestige than any other tournament, even Flo and Super 32.  That does not take away from an awesome experience for our developing wrestlers.

The cost is $1033 for both styles, and $945 for one, minus $150 for gear if you were on the dual team...not $1500.  That cost covers the rooms and three very good meals at camp for 3 days, the bus trip to Fargo, rooms in Fargo and three very good meals a day for 10 days.  That's almost two weeks of wrestling!  Overnight camps are $500 just for a few nights.  And, last I checked, a trip to Disney Duals wasn't cheap either.  It's a chunk of change, but I had no problem with asking for donations for my wrestler and no problem bringing it in.   People are generous, especially for a good cause.  This trip changes lives, it's priceless.   I'm not bashing the other "national" tournaments, but please don't take anything away from this one and discourage kids from going.

It's really upsetting to sit and watch this website control the communication on this topic.  Opinions that are agreed upon by the powers that be on here are spotlighted and showcased, and opinions that aren't agreed upon are simply deleted.  It's media manipulation at it's finest.  To hear that freestyle is for chumps is a prime example of the 800 lbs. gorilla that has been created to throw a wedge in the direction of this sport in our state #RIPHarambe.  If you want to grow the sport in Indiana, this isn't the way to go about it.  We must be united in this front, as long as we are divided, we will never be as strong as we could be.

Hopefully people can read this before it's deleted.

I hate when people have fun in wrestling...they need to stop dimming the lights, playing music etc, we should probably move state to a regular gym like our wrestling gym. We also need to shake hands more preferably before each period. All this fun is making this sport way too exciting and different WHILST KILLLLING IT.

Maintaining a #1 national ranking for 2 years while regularly attending Super32, Fargo, FloNat and WNO is super impressive. IMO he has a very high ceiling at the next level. I believe his intense movement, willingness to take risk and attack has made the difference for him in big matches. How he transitions to D1 will have a lot to do with coaching and guidance. I really like the choice of Nebraska for that reason. If he were to adopt the heavily risk averse style we see from a number of college teams these days, that ceiling comes way down.

Best ever in high school? He's just as impressive as the other obvious candidates. JT was already wrestling a risk averse tie-heavy style his senior year in HS and was dominant.

Best ever? In the right room he has a great chance to be the best ever. I'd wait until there's a more complete body of work before giving that distinction.

No way Walsh wins an NCAA title. He just got by Morse this time 4-2. I don't think he can beat Sulzer, Dieringer, Jordan, Moore and maybe not even Massa or Palacio. He get's caught flat footed all the time. Guys just get in on him at will. Yes he wrestles well from there. Yes he's been successful with his counter wrestling. But the probability of grinding through an NCAA tournament when everyone can easily get past your head/hands IMO is very low.
