  6. Thanks for the info hes got a doctors appointment.
  7. I kno basic idea of the new rule, bu it says they need clearance by an appropriate medical professional, or something along those lines. Is an appropriate medical professional a trainer or a doctor? Do they need a written note?
  8. If a wrestler is declared to have a concussioin at a meet by a trainer, and removed for the day from that meet wht clearance do they need to wrestle at another event? Can a trainer clear them, or do they need a note from a doctor? This is not a question about coming back the same day it is looking at their next event.
  9. I think they are both way up. They also have to go through mishawaka to win team regionals. Heights won sectionals last year, I believe they have won several sectionals. Fairfield will have to beat goshen, elk memorial, and jimtown to get out of sectioanals. They are very good and may both win sectional but mishawaka is a tall order, add penn to that equation to.
  10. We have finished third in the conference duals the last two seasons. Two years ago angola beat us by I believe six and P.H. beat us by 2. We had a chance in both duals going into the last match. We beat fairfield in our dual that year. Last season we finished third and both P.H. and FF were about 25 points better than us. We had Hamilton, Nicodemus, and Herron and Siddons out for that dual, but I would still say they were at least 15 better than us. This season we beat West Noble by criteria we both had some solid wrestlers out that day. We would have a good dual with them if both teams were at full strength. Right now I would put Fremont and Central Noble as the other teams fighting for third. We beat fremont by 25 or so. We wrestle cn on Thursday. Heights and FF beat us by 60 or so. They beat everyone else by that much. As a team we have the same record as last year, and I feel we are in many ways similar to our team last year. We are pry down abit, but I would say that it is more that those teams are just that dominant than other teams being way down. They are just that good.
  11. Y2 is hayden lee related to logan lee?
  12. The necc duals are this weekend as well. All the necc teams participate butr not all will wrestle each other, so I can't give you the who sees who.
  13. Does anyone know who all went 5-0 on the day? We had three wrestler 140 Zack Armstead, 160 sam siddons, and 189 Braxton Siddons.
  14. I've got to admit you had me fooled. That was almost as good when some guy on the football sight had me convinced that our football team was going to giveup semi-state because LCC was to tough.
  15. Homestead duals Homestead South Adams Marion Snider Heritage Busco
  16. I think that I am getting the tea party vote.
  17. Oscar just because you have an odd idea of a team doesn't mean that we should get rid of it. Coaches have always tried to build strong teams, even when you wrestled. Don't you think that coaches have always wanted to position their team to win conference, and sectionals? Coaches change their lineup to win regular season duals. Every coach wants to get their best lineup out there and will try to position their team to have the best chance of winning, always has happened, and will continue to as well. If an event happens the first thing posted is the team score, wrestling has and will always have a team aspect to it. Finally not to steal from others playbook on this one, but if your ability to read people is yor basis for why loosing team state would be a good thing then your argument is looking pretty week.
  18. Oscar have you ever been to the team state championships? They are a great experiance and something that the kids enjoy a lot. Its very obvious if you have ever seen them that the kids care aboout winning a team title as much or more than the coaches do. You are essentially arguing that being selfish and not caring about your team and your teams scores is good for a kid, and better for the sport?
  19. I've read the ncaa is looking for a way to do a dual championship. The ncaa also finds their football champion without a playoff and through computers and rankings, they font always get it right With this logic should a one one one tournament deside the best basketball team? No matter how you cut it it does not show the best team. Why would anyone who isn't a stud even matter if that was the situation. Its not in any way a ream championship.
  20. Didn't bellmont almost come back from a similar score against yorktown early in the year? They didn't do it but it was darn close.
  21. So you don't care about finding the best team? Why even have a team side if a ream doesn't deside it?
  22. in wrestling you could point to the fact that decatur, mishawaka, the region, indy and eville consistantly have top teams and this shows that in these citys and areas wrestling is more popular and that tends to produce results. How is it that bellmont is always the top team in our area? Its because it is a hotbed for wrestling, people like it there its spread through the whole county really if you look at a.c. and s.a. If this doesn't have a shred of truth then why is bellmont always so good? In writing this I know that they have great coaches but the fact that wrestling is popular there and thus produces a 'hotbed' for wrestlers. I think it would be resonable to look at football and the success that comes out of fort wayne, indy, and evansville and say the same. Indy and fort wayne dominate track. Look at homestead and park tudor in tennis or burris in volleyball. I think even with out a millions stats to back it up results show that some areas are hotbeds in certain sports.
  23. So what would you rather see in place? Would our current flawed system that shows a true champion be better if it was replaced by a flawed system (same 5-6 teams will be winning it) that doesn't show a true team champ?
