I suppose in the same way the judicial system is involved trying to keep you from breaking the speed limit.
 
Unless law enforcement contests that you were breaking the speed limit, you can break the law as often and as severely as you want.
 
Yet I can get ticketed and fined for the exact same violation.  I guess I would not blame the judicial system for my ticket.
 
Can the system be gamed? sure.  But the IHSAA can't investigate each and every one of the thousands of transfers that occur each year.

I thought the IHSAA did review the Moran case on its own merits in the appeal process?  Twice.
 
The IHSAA is a governing body run by the schools.  If two member schools sign off, the IHSAA will not get involved, if one does not sign off, then they become involved.
 
Trying to compare the Moran's case to other transfer situations puts you on a slippery slope because we laymen and laywomen are not privy to all the details.  On the surface, I agree it looks unfair for some kids to be able to wrestle and other not.  But I honestly don't think the IHSAA is sticking to some kids on purpose and giving others a free pass.

A football team up 3 touchdowns goes into a prevent defense, and runs the ball to milk the clock when on offense.
 
A boxer/MMA fighter is clearly ahead on the judges scorecards dials it back in the later rounds of a fight. 
 
A soccer team up 2 goals drops an extra player onto the defensive side of the field and plays keep away. 
 
A basketball team will use more shot clock to lengthen their own possessions, thus limiting their opponents. 
 
Stalling is essentially an acceptable "tactic" in other sports. Why not wrestling (not my personal opinion, just trying to spur conversation)?  The easy answer for stalling on the mat is to put them on their feet. 

Hughes has turned a bunch of opponents this season and pinned a large number of his foes. Tsirtsis is a good rider and excellent bottom man, but he's not the same kind of rider Hughes is. He's already one of the better hammers on top in the country

Drew is an amazing kid and wrestler. IMO he's at an all-american level as a top wrestler, but a red shirt year really would have helped him improve on his feet. I think Drew is well on his way to becoming the face of the MSU program.  

Drew is a beast. I think with a good draw, and a great tournament he could AA this year.

The word is out and opponents are avoiding being underneath him as much as they can. Very, very rare for any true freshman to be such a hammer on top, especially being from Indiana. It's almost scary to project how nasty he'll be as an upperclassman

You must be into pain and torture !!! Cramped quarters , poor viewing, high priced food, and the nasty administrators.  It was a crime it went on for years. 

Has classed sports in Indiana increased the overall participation numbers?  It has increased the number of teams being recognized as champions, but are the numbers of participants actually up statewide? Maybe they are, I have no idea.  But I think the issue is more societal/generational than just simply more classes, JV tournaments, and the "middle class."  Kids have more options than they ever have, and a lot of them view sports as purely recreational. 
 
Last I recall, wrestling is hard.

Don't get your bloomers in a bunch, it's a discussion forum. If you don't like what I have to say, don't read it. The last thing I am is a CP supporter.  I'm just calling it the way I see it.  I have not nor will you ever hear me say a negative word about Leroy Vega.  My issue is with the spirit of the transfer rule.  You can call me old school (call me whatever you want actually, I could care less), but I believe rules are meant to be followed.  Simple as that. If you don't like the rules go through the proper channels to have them changed.
