1972@ Southport missed one in the 80's. In hospital with knee surgery. Still miss the chicken dance at MSA. The parade of athletes, mental attitude award and student done National Anthem still gets me more emotional than the competition. -
Kinda like most of the Goshen regional teams driving by Wawasee going to Ft Wayne while Wawasee goes to m-ville.

Wasn't always Jan 1. Might be first Saturday i january or when ever ihsaa said that year. Messed up a lot of wrestlers whose coach didn't have a good AD. (Before email days).

Why in the 3rd bracket @ 106 has the Triton wrestler already defeated the a kid?

Ihsaa comes through again WOW twice in a week. First the 1.5% ruling now this.

Back in the 70's we had conference after the sectionals on Tuesday. No wrestle backs just straight bracket. Win in semi 1-2, lose semi 3-4, win in loser bracket 5-6, lose in loser 7-8. Had plenty of time. Esp if site has 4 mats.

What difference is it in losing 10 pounds in a week in November or in February? Probably easier to lose weight at the start of the season. Kind of makes a joke out of the money and time spent in the fall. IMO

Did the random draw probably 40 years ago. The thinking then was that the pressure was not always on the same kids. I enjoyed it, you didn't watch a steady diet of size building. Maybe wrestle in.reverse order would be neat sometimes. We were in a 4 team super dual where the weight class and teams were drawn. Example 106 a vs b & c vs d? Then 170, a vs d & b vs c. At the end of 3 rounds you figured the 3 meet scores. Confusing yes, but great fun.

I have no idea of numbers,but for a while in northern Indiana everyone had a past with Tom Jarman.

I always encouraged my kids to keep active. In a smaller school in is probably more important for them to participate. If you listened last week many were multi-sport athletes. HERF did it all for Culver. Jimtown seems to have good participation both in other sports and open wrestling. EMD won in many sports with the same guys.

Yea, though I walk past the purple-shirted Nazis who steal my cooler, I will enjoy no hospitality: For that room is off-limits; Thy AD and security people, they scream at me. Thou preparest a table for the media, then refuse to let them sit; Thine wrestlers warm up in the hallways with a thousand fans; there is nowhere else to go. Surely someone will hear my screams as I am pushed down inside the bleachers Otherwise I may dwell in the Home of the Pirates forever. Amen.

Why was there no action taken at Rochester about the conduct of a wrestler towards the officials and fans? Talk about presenting an image for the sport!

Really a good kid and good wrestler, but he is only a soph. Sectional results Jimtown won 126 and 132, and got second at 120. Where would he go in the lineup?

??? Does the old statement: Bad press or good press is still press fit here? Mr. Barnett would this be considered equipment time, injury time or what. I looked in the casebook and did not find it. Seriously, saw the kid on TV, prayers are answered.

NSC I had to think,but which part of this post is more important? 1. Jeans and Polo 2. Jeans and Polo 3. Jeans and Team shirt 4. Khaki shorts and Warmer 5. Khaki and Polo 6. Khaki and Polo 7. Jeans and Polo 8. Khaki and Warmer I watched good wrestling, sportsmanship, interaction between teams and fans. Good job on the mat, Roger, Leo and Skyler. It is a good day when the memories are about the wrestlers and wrestling.

: Every year! A BB coach is not at school at 5AM, rolling on a mat demonstrating between rounds and having a 14 hour day. Let them have 5 games in a day and see how they dress. Back in the dual meet days I wore a coat and tie. With more super duals and driving more busses I went to good jeans and polo shirt. With blue as a school color I feel that it worked. State yea, but a regular dual, no. Tan pants would never look good for a whole day! When in stripes give me a comfortable calm coach over a well dressed idiot anytime.
