If you're going to call someone out for making a mistake in their post, the least you can do is use the correct word to describe the feelings people from Chicago have toward those from NWI. I believe the word you were looking for was disdain not detain. Lived at 3750 N. Racine in Wrigleyville and grew up on the south side of the city, trust me when I tell you, the Region is a lot more Chicago than the rest of the state. Going to Purdue made the difference between the Region and the rest of the state abundantly clear. You can make fun of it, but it's home and I'm proud to live here.

They both were a little "heavy" with the hands that's for sure... The ref should have warned them maybe one more time before it got out of hand.

No one pays $35K to go to Wabash. Small private schools have big original price tags, but they knock a great deal off for everything including having a heartbeat, graduating high school, counting to 10, etc. If you even have decent grades you can go to Wabash for the same amount you go to Ball State, Indiana, or Purdue.

It seems like, in a world constantly ruled by regulations and code, that common sense prevailed here and the right call was made.  Props to those referees, coaches, and administrators for ultimately doing the right thing.

You could do three pools of three.  Then have the winners wrestle in a three team pool, the second place teams in a three team pool, and the third place teams in a three team pool.  Then you could wrestle those pools off for placements.  Every team would get four matches, and you would have fairly accurate placements.  I guess it depends on what is more important, accurate placings, getting five matches, everyone getting the same amount of matches?

I think Y2 needs to create an App, that would make Indianamat look real good.

I love the opportunity to plug my Alma Mater here.  If he is serious about a career in the medical field and wants to have a great chance to get into grad school, I'd recommend he looks into Wabash College.  I actually suspect that Wabash may be "Option A" in this scenario.  Take a look at grad school placement rates, you'll be astonished!

If you are looking at going in the healthcare field, it is really important to look at the placement rates into grad school or medical school too. Some colleges can really pitch that they are very prestigious or exceptionally strong academically, but it is better to look at facts such as placement rates rather than generalizations.

I'm sure each of the kids have a legitimate reason they are not participating. There is no reason to call them out for not participating in a regional level event when most are preparing for or recently wrestled at national level events.

This is the only argument against class wrestling.  There is some nominal amount of entertainment value lost because there are some matches that we simply will not get to see materialize.  We will lose a lot of the underdog and feel good stories of small school guy beating big school guy.
I don't think that is enough of a reason to keep it as an individual tournament when there are clearly other advantages to classing.
