I agree West Central has a fantastic program and the coaches are doing one heck of a job. The youth program they have develop is awesome and it takes a lot of dedication to the program! Good Luck To Everyone!!

Does anybody have any results of last years Hoosier Conference? (Benton Central, Delphi, Twin Lakes, Tipton, Sheridan, Rensselaer, West Lafayette) and wondering who are the wrestlers to beat? Let's see if we can pick them? Almost Good: They have not wrestled Rensselaer so you really can't say they beat them!

Kaufman from Rensselaer at 189 beat Keith from Portage 5-0 but lost to Schewsberry from Crown Point 10-2

The Rensselaer Bombers had a rough weekend!!! We had 3 out of the 4 kids missing from the infamous skin disease ringworm, but still thats no excuss! We only won 3 matches in the last 2 rounds. We lost our 119 pounder (Ringen) for the year with a broken collarbone. So who knows what direction we will be heading this week but hopefully once conference and sectional comes around we put on a good showing. The Abbott & Kaufman match was pretty much as follow: Abbott 4 takedowns and Kaufman with 4 escapes. Nothing else but that! Thanks to Huntington North for putting on a great tournament and look forward to next year.

Joe Burvan (Rensselaer Central) and Walt Prochno (Kankakee Valley) These two coaches were class act coaches. I know if any of you know/knew them you would agree. Joe Burvan past away in 1995 and Walt Prochno still coaches. These guys made boys into men and are well respected in Northwest Indiana.

At 189 Mandeville (KV) was stuck by Kaufman (RC) this past week! Kaufman from Rensselaer is 11-0 with all pins!!!
