  1. Wow! I would like to thank everyone who showed up at the Rensselaer JV Tourney today. It was a great day and if you were there you saw some great wrestling. Thanks to all the coaches, wrestler and parents who made this day possible we appreciate all your support. Thanks Rensselaer Central Wrestling
  2. Here's a nice little poll for you Twin Lakes Sectional fans. Which team do you think honestly will win this sectional.
  3. THIS IS GOING TO BE A GREAT TOURNAMENT FOR THE 9TH AND 10TH GRADERS! CAN'T WAIT.
  4. No! I didn't say that............ For Example, Let's look at Marcus Shrewsberry last year, I believe he was the starting quarterback for the CP Dogs. Did he have to stick to 1 sport to be a State Wrestling Champ????
  5. Ok. Let's look at another example. Look at the great game of Indiana High School GOLF are we going to make excusses for individuals and teams because they can't compete with bigger schools because the course they play on is crap and unfair. No! We look at this and say wow that team is good because all 5 of their players worked hard in the summer months to prepare themselves for the season. What I am saying is that kids that want to work hard in a particular sport and want to be the best in that sport will find a way of doing so. I can tell you with wrestling its the same way! During the off season your kids have the same opportunity like the Crown Points and other schools to participate in clubs, AAU Tournaments and much more if they have the desire too. The problem what you see is the majority of the kids choose not too. Some of the BEST individuals come from small schools.
  6. I believe I think what he is saying is that this an individual sport called wrestling and not football and the kids can make the choice to be a better wrestler by working hard in the off season.

  8. Great Add! NWHC 145 Champ. Plenty of openings and we would be very greatful to have individuals represented from all over the state.
  9. Rensselaer Central - 36 Winamac - 42 Individual results will be posted tomorrow
  10. Well I can tell you that Rensselaer Central beat West Central 45-30 about a month ago. The problem that I see with West Central not winning the sectional would be that they have to many open weight classes. When Rensselaer wrestled them they had somewhere around 3 to 4 forfeits. When you are not scoring points in that many weight classes it makes it kind of hard to win the sectional.
  11. Ryne Bell 32-0 South Newton
  12. Good to hear from you Mr. Johnson. Thanks for the info everyone is worry about.
  13. I will have to say Pioneer does have some great individuals and it will depend on the upper weights for them to place high in the sectional. Not to sure how tough Winamac is but it seems like they always have a great team. I do know they lost some key individuals last year but also have some good individuals on the team this year. Rensselaer in the meantime is a very young team with all the weight classes filled and for them to win the sectional they will have to have some of their under class men step it up. Logansport for the most part will be very tough to beat. This team is very strong in the middle weights along with the upper weights having individuals placing for the most part from 112 to Hwt. We shall see which team wants it more than the other team in just over 3 weeks. Good luck to all!
  14. Da Rat here too in DeMottie. like ya say slip slinden down I65 and 231. Keeping it real down here with a little breeze and some drifts.
  15. Wow Great Work! This is a TRUE FAN of High School Wrestling

  17. Looking at the TEAM aspect of the tournament, which TEAM will take the Sectional Championship??? Any predictions of the top 4 teams ???
  18. We have a great JV tourney up here at Rensselaer Central. The date is January 23rd, and it is our 9th and 10th grade tourney. This tournament is very well know and is discussed by many as the STATE for 9th and 10th grade wrestlers. We have individuals from Crown Point, Delphi, Mishawaka, Hobart, Lowell, Valpo, Michigan City, Merrillville, Jay County and many more. I know there are over 20 schools that participate. We would always welcome any team that would like to participate. We normally have a little over 200 wrestlers and they are paired that day by individual weights and grade. This tournament usually starts at 9:00am and is usually over by 3:00pm. The winner of each weight class gets the pairings chart plus a medal. This is a great way to get your JV and younger wrestlers mat time!!!
  19. but what do my wondering eyes they must see a state champion contender waiting on me.
  20. Coach: Thank you! I was going to ask you for the results.
