Blake is a beast no doubt!! I think Cam jones is very underrated. Both guys are studs. There are many types of domination

Blake took care of business and dominated the interview speech too.     Congratulations and thank you for all the years of excitement.  Look forward to watching you dominate at the next level too.

Blake pinned his first three opponents and was not scored on at all in those three matches. He and Jones are friends that have wrestled in the finals the last 4 weekends. Blake knows that Jones is a great wrestler that would give it his all with nothing to lose. Jones is more dangerous than many realize. I am sure that was in his mind after watching the many upsets this weekend. He wrestled safe with the ultimate goal of winning that match. He accomplished that goal and earned his 2nd State title.

I just want to give a big shout out to Alston Bane and all the wrestlers from Cathedral at state tonight. The Cathedral wrestlers and Alston paid tribute to my late son, who passed away in November. The Cathedral wrestlers wore green laces in their shoes, the green is to show support for mental health awareness and Alston wore green in his hair and on honored him on his warm-ups. I can't thank these young men enough for their show of support. It is much appreciated. Thanks again!

Looks like grappleapple's gut feeling was right on the money. Based on a second grade showing or not it is hard to beat a good wrestler two weeks in a row. SOOO before you start ridiculing someone, you might want to wait until the results are in...

Because I work full time, have a bunch of kids in a bunch of sports, have a wife that expects me to clean up after myself, occasionally I go outside and...mainly..because I don't have the time to research every wrestler and their head-to-head record. I do know that in second grade Worm was a stud - so I'm basing my pick on that. And I'm sticking to it.

I understand that some people are trolling. I guess you have the right to do that, if you please. But please be mindful that we are talking about a couple of high school kids here. Please do not bash either wrestler's courage or mental toughness.

Both wrestlers' have resumes that are shaping up in fashion for them to mentioned as some of the best wrestlers in Indiana history. Let's discuss their potential match up with the respect it deserves.

If this match up takes place and it isn't under the lights, it will be one of the biggest shams in IHSAA Wreslting history. I am all for a making a match like this the main event. If we can figure out a way to do so, I am all about a vote or petition. Maybe we could do something where fans voted the order of the weight classes in the championship match? It'd also be nice for the big guys to not have to go last and have half of the fans in Banker's Life already in their cars headed home.

Best of luck to Nick Lee, Chad Red, and everyone else at 132, especially all the seniors. I hope you all have a great state tournament run. Stay healthy, have fun, and leave it all out on the mat.

Old.   Stodgy.   Out of touch.   Clueless.   Oblivious.  Don’t get it.   Outdated.

This is how my grandchildren and children describe me.

Honestly, I dislike most people under 35.   I do not get social media.   The whole of idea of ‘being famous’ on Twitter or Facebook is a farce.   The narcissism of so many young people is completely foreign.   And social media is just a stupidity amplifier for the selfish foolishness of millennials.

There is one group of people under 35 I still can relate to and that’s wrestlers.   I can talk to a kid who wrestles for hours.   There isn’t much selfishness in these kids.   These are really damn good kids.

That got me thinking.   Wrestling is really the most humbling thing a person can do.   At least in my opinion.   Even our greatest wrestlers ever, guys like Ellis and Tsirtis and Palmer, have been beat and pinned at some point.   If you’ve ever wrestled, you been humbled.   Probably multiple times.

So many kids today really have no idea what failure is.   I watched the video of that girl at Yale screaming and I could not believe it.   Halloween costumes are now offensive and cause a person to emotional convulse?  Really?  Too many soft people.   Too many people who have never failed.   Too many people who have never been challenged.

I see so many wrestlers perform so admirably in adulthood.   And I honestly think it is because so many of these kids failed.   They failed plenty of times in wrestling matches.   And they were taught to get back up and do it all over again.   Don’t quit.   Don’t stop fighting.

Wrestling provides these kids armor for life.   If they lose a job or something does not go their way, they don’t immediately crumble.   They move on.   And they certainly don’t fall to pieces over made up transgression like Halloween costumes or micro aggressions.

These kids who wrestle are probably the one thing that give me some glimmer of hope for the future.

    End of old man's rant.

McKinney narrowly escapes Troy Owen, 6-4...12-6 Brownsburg

    Seems they did

Both of the Levitzes with pins...18-14 Prairie Hts on top now

Whoa...Blakeley with the fast fall over Worm...Prairie Hts threatening to run away suddenly, 30-14

    Pruitt with the fall...12-12

    Another pin for Bellmont...25-4

Herrick with the win after early struggles...15-12 Warren

    And another...31-4

    And another...37-4

Wow..Walton with the quick fall over Goddard.  18-15 for Brownsburg

Yikes..one more fall for Bellmont and now it's over already against Jimtown, 43-4

    Damler by major over Blount...22-15

Warren will be favorites in all 5 of the remaining matches now...can Brownsburg take a couple where they're slight underdogs and pull the upset?

Prairie Heights the 1A champs...leading 39-23 with only 113 to be wrestled

Mater Dei getting rolled without the Lees...36-12 with 220 thru 113 left

Cicciarelli with the last second escape to avoid a major against Tonte...22-18 Bburg

mccormick bumps up to wrestle knox-abbott

Monrovia takes 3rd in 1A over AC

Boots of MD beats McClockey, but PM wraps up the dual win, now leading 36-15 with 3 to go

Blood timeout as McCormick of bburg leads knox-abbott 5-3 in the third. they'll be neutral at the re-start

`mccormick holds on..25-18 Brownsburg with 3 to go

Warren still favored in all 3 here...win out and they still get the win.  Any Brownsburg win most likely gives them the title

Yorktown takes 3rd in 2A over North Montgomery

Clark of Bburg earns a penalty point in the first period and leads 1-0 going into the second

Clark up 2-0 heading into the 3rd..that penalty point turning out to be big

We do things our own way. We aren't trying to sneak up on anyone or hide. People noticing us is fine and what we set out to do. We have grown our fan base and our hate base tremendously. Students and staff wear Brownsburg Wrestling Gear and yes it says #PainTrain. You do it your way and we will do it our way. Many think we are annoying and over the top...we think many are boring and dry and it is exhausting and in our opinion hurting the growth of our sport. Our wrestlers, parents, fans, and administrators like what we do so we are going to keep it up.

We don't have to pretend we are wrestling in Ancient Greece. It's okay to be different and smile every once in a while or attempt to make wrestling more exciting.
