    Jimtown does have a Hall-of-Fame wrestling coach and he hasn't left his tiny school.

    Agreed. I guess what I was asking is: Has recent success/perceived future success in classed competitions helped their numbers or is this a blip because of a few good classes. Is it trending up for the foreseeable future? Or is it a momentary spike?

    Maybe Indiana loses more athletes, especially at small school, to basketball than other states. Basketball is still extremely popular in Indiana. I know it's probably popular in Kansas as well. Has the IHSWCA Team Championships helped numbers at 1A school like Triton? They've always been a good basketball program. Have these classed events helped their numbers? Or is their recent success (getting invited to the IHSWCA event) just been the exception with a couple of good classes?

    Two-team race: Jimtown and Memorial. Memorial likely the Champ. I think they both get about the same number to regionals, maybe even a slight edge to Jimtown (who I think is a little deeper). But Memorial is more top-heavy and will get more champions. It could be something like 5-2 in favor of Memorial. There will be a lot of head-to-head matchups all day though. That could decide the winner.

    There would be a decent possibility this match wouldn't even take place under the lights.

    The state of Iowa must stink at high school wrestling since they didn't have anyone on the Olympic team in 2012. Minnesota, Ohio, and Illinois only had one each and they were on the Greco team. Zero freestyle Olympians from those four powerhouse states. NCAA Champions by HS state: Iowa-1, Minnesota-0, Ohio-2, Illinois-0, Pennsylvania-0

    That might be a hard culture to change. I know many people who still consider it that way. I know wrestlers who tried to give themselves cauliflower ear. Probably not the thing you want someone looking at some day in an interview though.

    I hope this works out for him. Wish him all the best of luck in the next couple of years. Love that he has a passion for ministry. If I was a college coach, the above quote might raise my eyebrow a little bit. If the high school season is too much of a grind, how would one make it through a college season?

    I think Manning at Nebraska is great coach. He seems to get the most out of his guys. Kokesh was a beast. How big of a recruit was he? I don't think he was a Top recruit, but I could be wrong. Plus some of those Nebraska guys are doing well on the international stage. Everyone knows Burroughs but look what James Green has done. Rypel to IU is a bit of head-scratcher, but it's a beautiful campus, great school, and close to home.

    What did he do at Midlands last year? 0-2? Obviously, being at a D1 program would give him better training partners.

    Highest placing senior at each weight? Who will coach? Coach of the team state champions?

    who is the champ out of the FW semi state this season? I can't find one, depending on weights. There are a lot of champs returning.

    I want Fort Wayne semi-state to do as well as anyone but Fort Wayne is by far the weakest semi-state.
