I don’t know if you wrestled or not but if you did you would know to be the bad draw. That’s what is taught at Snider and we have a history of winning these so called bad draws.  Did you have Mosier losing last week?  Did you have Trevino?  Exactly; Go Panthers!

Kudos to Snider for getting 8 to semi-state, and I enjoy your steadfast devotion to your Panthers, I have enjoyed watching the Snider program for years.  A wonderful mindset to teach and have but the reality is not always so.  Especially when Tun draws Bollinger, Maple draws Lil Mosier and Prochaska draws Denwan all in the 1st round or with Krouse who has losses to Butt and Broady gets Mosier who has wins over both, then if Maple defeats lil Mosier you have a date with Linser next as if those draws aren’t bad enough Quoi gets to dance with Wood to get through in addition should Prochaska win his first match he gets Jett all ticket round.  We have already talked about Russell and Smith, and while I like Dodson to get through, he has a heck of a ticket round match against Hillman-Conley should they both win their first one.

Now I don’t have a crystal ball, and this is totally just for fun so I might be completely wrong.  I hope all these wrestlers and the rest of the field win against the scale and stay healthy making the most of their opportunity.

And to answer yes, I wrestled a while ago and I know and believe in the mindset of being the bad draw.  As for last week's results your right, I didn’t foresee Mosier getting beat by Rowles or Trevino losing to Smithley with that being said that is why the matches are wrestled.

Let me get this straight.  Out of 8 wrestlers from Snider you have 1 getting out?  Highly unlikely.  Russell and Smith are going.  Don't sleep on Krouse he is dangerous and has a High wrestling IQ.

Russel and Meyer can go either way I like Meyer.  Just like Trevino vs Smith, will be a good one I favor Trevino but as with many matches involving good wrestlers anything could happen.  As for Krouse he as with many of the Snider wrestlers the draw wasn’t nice I  don’t see him beating Mosier.  Could it happen an I be wrong heck yes but that is why the match is wrestled.  Best of luck to all the wrestlers and coaches..

Is previous year state/semi-state the leading seed factor? Cause the 2 seed at 165 is 1-4, which strikes me as weird outside of him going to semi-state last year.

The criteria I was given when I ask about the seeding was as follows:

    1. Min of 5 matches wrestled

    2 State Placer in 2023

    3 State Qualifier in 2023

    4 Semi-State Quarter Finalist in 2023

    5. Semi-State Qualifier in 2023

6 Middle School State placer in 2023

    7 Regional Qualifier in 2023

    8 Winning Percentage

    9. Most Wins

Top 4 total agreeance after that the order is questionable to me, but this is what they have in place.  Which is why seed at 165.  Regardless of seeds should be some good matches.

  7. Here are some from the 80's earlier 90's

    Craig Campbell, Delta 3rd, 3rd, 3rd, 1st

    Ray Sheppard Western Q, 1st, Q, 6th

    Shannon Stout Delta 6th, 5th, 2nd, 3rd

    John Ginther Delta 5th, 1st, 1st (D1 5th, 8th, 8th)

    Dennis Lewis Yorktown 2nd, 1st, 1st

    Chris Campbell Delta 3rd, 2nd, 1st

    Tony Abbott Muncie Southside 2nd, Q, 1st (D2 3rd)

    David Locke Delta Q, 3rd, 1st

    Marc Foreman Muncie Southside Q, Q, 1st

    Jeff Pease Muncie Southside Q, 3rd (D2 2nd, 7th) 6x Fargo AA

Just the city plus Brooks never wrestled in the Fort Wayne ss.

Jermaine Brooks?  the 160lb 91 State Champ who smashed Ashley from Belmont in the 91 Ft Wayne Semi-state finals.  Never mind you talking about Jarred no by his time Warsaw went to da region.
