  1. Vega has officially accepted the job as head wrestling coach at his alma mater, Portage High School. The rise of the Indians is upon us! Congrats, my friend.
  2. I, too, attended IU. You are the ONLY person I have ever heard of that had the core English classes taught by professors. I do not personally know one person who ever had W131 taught by a professor! You're a lucky guy!
  3. UNCG also announced that they are dropping their program today.
  4. Perry wrestled at Iowa State. Matt Coughlin - Evansville Memorial Andre Hernandez - Griffith Matt Behling - CMA Brandon Becker - IU
  5. Yes, he is living in California now and trains full-time with Dan Henderson.
  6. He signed 2 weeks ago, but he asked me not to post anything until his contract was sent back to him. It was just officially posted as of about 2am this morning. I have updated his Facebook fan page if anyone wants to check it out... Dave "Pee Wee" Herman. Thanks, tmfy!
  7. Those are some expensive schools. Our schools for out of state students costs about $17,500 to be full-time with room and board included! I have coached NAIA and now I coach D2. The NAIA coaches, in general, certainly do not get paid more than D2 coaches. NAIA doesn't necessarily give more scholarships either. It's really dependent on the school. Some D2 schools have 2 or less scholarships to offer. Some have 7+ to offer. Some NAIA schools have no money at all to offer, some have over $100,000 to divy up amongst athletes.
  8. Their schedule has changed. They will be going to the Harper Open instead of the MoVal Open on the 5th.
  9. Dang Herda smoked Dominguez at National Duals...
  10. Part I: http://www.mma-core.com/videos/_Sengoku_16_Dave_Herman_vs_Yoshihiro_Nakao_PT_1_2?vid=10015576&tid=100%EF%BB%BF Part II: http://www.mma-core.com/videos/_Sengoku_16_Dave_Herman_vs_Yoshihiro_Nakao_PT_2_2?vid=10015577&tid=100
  11. They aren't wrestling IU and MN. They are just preceding that Big 10 dual with a dual of their own in front of MN's crowd.
  12. Dave Herman is victorious over Nakao via unanimous decision. Video to be posted soon...
  13. Rankingsguy, I am still curious as to how a guy that moves up 4 weight classes gets ranked above a returner that placed 4th at the same weight class. Did Reese have a great summer at some national tournaments? It just still isn't registering for me why a guy that placed lower in his weight class 4 weight classes below is ranked higher...
  14. It's interesting that Knura isn't in the same boat then. Not only is he a returning placer in the same weight class, but he has notable and/or dominating wins over guys ranked #8, #10, and #12. It's interesting that he placed 4th at 215 and the guy ranked above him placed 5th 4 weight classes lower last year. Maybe I've missed some discussion on this already, but I just found it intriguing.
  15. He's already been released and will be eligible to wrestle 2nd semester of this year.
  16. "Alex, is one of only seven undefeated four-time state champs in Indiana prep history." All of the Indiana 4-timers were undefeated?
  17. This post has the date as December 17, but the post you made on the "Officials Needed" forum has it listed as December 18. Which date is the tournament?
  18. Interesting that Mater Dei is above Yorktown in the overall rankings, but below them in the class rankings...
  19. St. Francis wasn't there last year. That was IPFW's club team. Lineberry was the head coach, but is no longer there. Therefore I am not sure that they have a program anymore.
  20. Young was also named Big Ten wrestler of the week. http://iuhoosiers.cstv.com/sports/m-wrestl/spec-rel/113010aaa.html
  21. Thanks, Aaron. Keep them coming, coaches. I have over 100 head coaches now! An email will be sent out at the beginning of next week.
  22. He quit and skipped out on town, I do believe. (him and Al White both)
  23. Herman will be fighting on December 30 in Japan for Sengoku against Yoshihiro "Kiss" Nakao.
