On a semi-Indiana related note, how about Zeke Moisey making the finals?  He's beaten the 15, 2, 7 and 6 seeds, and avenging earlier season losses to 2 seed (Garrett majored him) and 7 seed Klimara of OK St who had beaten him twice.  Petrov beat him earlier in the year 4-3 and Micic majored him 13-4 at the Dapper Dan last year.  He's been on fire this weekend, making the finals by pinning Gilman of Iowa in :52.  

Could've should've would've. If forte wasn't in Lecounts weight class last year he's a 3xer. We could play that game all day. If you're counting outstanding tournament from this weekend, sure give it to cash. If you're counting overall resume, I personally don't think it's close. Cash wasnt even number one most of the year because he kept losing to a guy in his weight class.

IMO flip a coin. Heads it's Tommy Forte, tails it's Tommy Cash. Can't go wrong with either. Pepple gets a very close third.
 
I think an honorable mention should go to Dylan Lydy. Maybe not the overall career the others had. But D** that kid was fun to watch this weekend. He almost got officiated out of a state title but pulled it off with a great blue collar effort. Maybe the definition of the "Mr. Gorilla". Congrats young man! 

Mason has won Tulsa and Super 32 and has been on multiple national dual teams with my son. Mason and his family is about as humble as can be. Congrats on a great year Mason!

I was in the Mater Dei section for the finals and to their credit, it was the young fans in their group that were booing Cash. Though the adults weren't quick to tell them to cut it out.
 
Lee was taking it to Cash in that match and was in complete control. I loved the mental toughness of Cash. A lot of kids would've been beaten after that first period. Cash displayed the toughness and determination of a senior who has been there before and kept coming with everything he had. Glad to see him end his career with a second title. Joe Lee has a great career ahead of him and I can't wait to see it.

Nick Weddle Ben Davis. Had 3 losses in last two weeks of season, has come back in tournment to win both sectional and regional. If he gets by first round match with Dixon of Reitz should punch his ticket.

Great post.. Everyone that knows me knows that's the main one I had to work on. You do miss it alot after your kids is done. Spent every weekend/weekday somewhere wrestling being in state or out of state for 12 years. I sure learned alot in those years and met alot of great people. 1 thing that always stuck with me was about 10 years ago Tonte saying it's not a sprint it's a marathon. Sad part is one day your kid crosses the finish line.

As a Castle fan.... HoosierHustler is not speaking for Castle.... He'd better not be a Castle fan, because MD is tough top to bottom and shredded us. They are the team to beat PERIOD!

Congrats to EMD for winning the IHSWCA Team State Championship for 3A. Perry would not take anything away from Penn (had they won) or EMD for winning. The Penn fan that's been posting excuses all year for their loses, I'm sure isn't what the Harper staff is saying or thinking. That group is a class act with a lot to be proud of. It's real simple, Perry beat Penn in the semis and EMD beat Perry in the finals.
