I think he has a good chance of beating Hildebrand. I'm sure a lot of Hildebrand's losses came from Sinkovics, but they have mostly been in dominating fashion. Looking at the Evansville semi-state brackets I would say that they have at least 4 106lbers that probably could win the Merrillville semi-state. My money is on Kennedy from Floyd Central.

I hope you are right on 2 of the CP wrestlers that you have winning, but I think are doubtful and 1 that you don't have winning that I find doubtful also. I'm not going to mention any weights, as not to jinx the boys involved in your predictions. I think most fans that have followed CP would agree with me though.

I ws surprised to see Luke Davis at the CP-Valpo dual wrestle at 170. He did indeed beat Langbehn at 195 last year and Langbehn went to state. But at the dual 2 weeks ago he lost 9-5 to Hazi from CP. I wouldn't place any money on a rematch . It could go either way.

I haven't seen Red wrestle. Must be tough since he has been ranked #1 since week #1. However I saw Kennedy at the Traicoff wrestle at 113. Has speed and thighs like a fullback. Can't see anyone beating him, but he might have lost some strength dropping to 106.

Also should be good second round match between Kral and Suttles. Kral beat Suttles in OT last week. 195 is loaded with Patterson and Bolen also.

I think you would have to add Crown Point into the discussion as to the number 2 team. True, they did loseto Franklin at the Traicoff, but it came down to the last match at 152. Crown Point's Dusty Schurg was still out with a concussion he suffered against last years Illinois state champ at the Stagg. The score was 2 to 1 when they bumped heads. Other than that his only other loss was 8-7 against a ranked kid from Lyons Twp in Illinois. AlsoCrown Point's number 1 285lber was still out with a concussion he suffered at the Warsaw invite. At this invite he got the fastest pin of the year at that weight. I don't think they will do all that well at individual state, but as a dual team they should be in the fray for number 2.

Langbehn definately was stronger at 195. The kid from Lake Station caught him in a headlock and put him to his back and I think it zapped his strength for the rest of the match. The kid from Lake Station (Durban) should make it to at least semi-state.

Congrats to Franklin. They have some real good kids, especially Smith at 106. I don't want to take anything away from their triumph, but had Dusty Schurg been able to wrestle I'm sure the outcome would have been different. also CP's regular 285lber is also out. Anyway since CP has opted out of the team duals in December I wish Franklin good luck, but I can't vision anyone beating Perry Meridian.
