  1. 1. Your record doesn't really matter. He got 7th at the ECIC, that's about all you need to know. The #4 seed from Norwell got 5th at that same tournament. Bellmont has beaten the Norwell kid.
  2. Aren't the Colts from Baltimore? ;D
  3. Is this Forfeit guy possibly from Marion? Because then it would make sense. I saw that he was ranked #1 in our Semi-State earlier this year.
  4. Several things stand out to me..... 1. Hankenson as the #2 seed. 2. 145 is VERY weak 3. It seems like a lot of ACAC guys switched weights from where they were at conference. 4. How in the world do these Union City guys come in with such good records and hardly ever finish where they are seeded?
  5. Thanks Razo. I am glad I was able to watch women's tennis while you had to type all of those out.
  6. O ok. Yes, a forfeit can go further than a kid that loses in the rattails. That makes sense. But I think that is the only situation. I still think that there should never be a rattail match in a weight class where there are forfeits. It's just not fair to anyone.
  7. he better be, because that is the way the rules are written.
  8. Just got word that they went by the book and gave Meyer the #1 seed at HWT.
  9. Neither, I just think that that's the way it is. I'm not saying I would do anything differently if I were another coach. It is somewhat important, as the Blackford kid is pretty decent and if I remember, is the WHOLE 285 pounds.
  10. I guess there was a bit of sarcasm in my previous statement, sorry if that was not evident
  11. That should be the best bout at tonight's sectional seeding. The problem with giving Meyer the #1 seed is that West beat him twice after Daniel beat him in the sectional finals. I'm just guessing that they won't be able to agree tonight, and it will come down to a vote........................... and I doubt a majority of coaches there vote a Bellmont wrestler as a #1 seed when they can do otherwise.
  12. Haha, yes. I am sure he would have won without a doubt. The kid from HN is worthless. He has like two losses or something.
  13. Ouch. I''m hoping there was some sarcasm in that remark.
  14. I'm not sure the previous poster meant any disrespect to Roe, but he was simply stating a fact, not an opinion. He has gone 29-1 and to my knowledge, has not wrestled a single kid in the current Top 20 Rankings. He hasn't even cracked Y2's FW SS Rankings. I'm not saying he won't place Top 5 at state and I'm not saying he won't make it out of sectionals, but it is obvious that there aren't a whole lot of quality wins out of those 29.
  15. He does make a decent point. Faurote should definitely be ranked 4th in the FW SS, having lost to #1, #2, and #3. Considering Guerra is probably the best of the bunch in Merrillville, and Faurote beat him, I would say that FW would be favored in all 4 matches. The only problem is that Faurote only has a one in three chance of making it to Conseco unless he beats Hiestand at regional, or avenges losses to probable Regional Champs Hill of Jimtown or Norton of Carroll in the ticket round.
  16. Let's not put him in the finals yet AJ!
  17. That's too bad. Will he be back for sectionals? He definitely had a good shot at going deep into the tournament.
  18. Anyone know why Hess wrestled instead of Roe today for AC?
  19. Haha, it's amazing that they got away with it without anyone knowing. And the tournament directors were nice enough to let them enter two guys at the same weight class.
  20. With Holliday back, there is no one stopping us in the National League.
  21. Yikes, that sucks. That changes the complexion of the Jay County Regional a little bit .
  22. 1st-Bellmont 240 2nd-Carroll 180 3rd-DeKalb 177 4th-Homestead 171.5 5th East Noble 171 6th New Haven 123.5 7th-Columbia City 55 8th-Norwell 48
  23. Travis Thatcher now 31-0 and an NHC Champ. You can also take Campbell from New Castle off of your list.
