  1. Man, who could ever forget that guy? Every time he and Mitchel wrestled it would get out of hand. I remember my 75 year old Grandma yelling at that kid, and she was in the front row with a walker! Did Zehr ever beat Mitchel that year? I know Mitchel won SS and if I remember right, he also won Conference. I am pretty sure that he won at the dual I went to also.
  2. I am pretty sure results from every sectional and regional this year are online, along with the beginning brackets, accompanied by records and sometimes even grades!!!! We all can't have the natural pick 'em skills that Y2 and XCard have. Some of us have to put in the time.
  3. WZBD will also be broadcasting the ticket round and after live on the radio.
  4. Assembly Hall and Mackey Arena probably don't have enough floor space....
  5. The only examples you use that disprove my theory are one's that use wild cards. The NBA does not "seed" it's playoffs by anything but overall record. They also have common opponents. What if the top 2 teams are both in the West? When the Yankees and Red Sox are the two best teams in MLB, does Bud Selig decide that they should play each other in the World Series? The NCAA Tournament does not designate an overall #1 seed or rank it's top 4 teams. They simply put them in a bracket based on..................................................... GEOGRAPHY! They don't really care if 1 plays 4 and 2 plays 3 in the semis, or if #1 plays #2 in the semis. They simply look for a winner. They have to do this because of a lack of common opponents.
  6. Because runner-up does not equate to #2. Anyone that believes that is stupid. The runner-up is the team that loses to the Champ in the Finals, that is it. It does not imply that they are the 2nd best team, nor has it in any sport in the country, professional, college, or high school.
  7. Why don't we just go ahead and give every team that was eliminated by the champ at Sectionals and Regionals and give them a runner-up trophy too? It's a stupid idea. You give the trophy to the team who lost in the finals, no matter who it is. They were better than half the teams in the state, and you get rewarded for it. Simple as that.
  8. Something tells me this is going to be your year vito, I'm going to have to do my homework to retain my title.
  9. Considering there is a kid with the last name Tsirtsis in his bracket, yes. that match was 3-2 in December, I would say that is pretty close. Chalfant hasn't had a match like that this year.
  10. You obviously have not seen Adam Chalfant wrestle this year. Nothing against Glenn, but every year they come in with 215 and HWT's with great records, and I don't remember them coming out on top. Chalfant is more of a lock than anyone in the state.
  11. Travis Yoquelet of Bellmont finished 4th at sectional, 3rd at Regionals, and 4th at SS a few years back.
  12. Considering it was 6-5 last year in the finals, I would say it is a toss-up.
  13. Calling Richard Jay...... Am I going to have a chance to defend my title this year? How do I get my free tickets to Conseco this year?
  14. lol, once again all of the picks poster here were made before sectionals began.
  15. Sorry buddy, this contest began the morning of sectionals. You will have to wait until next year.
  16. Time to bring this contest back to the top. Of all my picks, only 3 didn't make it to SS. Moore-EKM at 103 Harper-Y at 140 Spurgeon-JIM at 171 Now that the brackets are up, if all my guys win, I will miss 10 guys. I don't have time to calculate all the other entries, but if anyone wants to compare where they are so far, feel free to. I will tabulate everyone's entries and we will have a champ on Sunday.
  17. Just taking a look at Y2's SS Rankings...... #4, #5, #6, and #7 ranked HWTs are all in the same quarter of the bracket. Only one will make it to state. Anyone know anything about the HWT from Northwestern. He is 44-1.
  18. I would just like to thank Y2 for giving me the opportunity to once again show my pick 'em abilities. My win at the Carroll Regional will be a stepping stone for a Ft. Wayne SS victory next week. ;D
  19. I think Jay County also had 34 compared to Delta's 22.
  20. What in the $%^& are you talking about? And who was talking about city schools?..........
  21. First off, you can't even speak English, so work on that. As for why we don't wrestle SA, it probably has to do that Bellmont has never wrestled them in a dual historically. I am sure that with SA's program on the rise, another intracounty dual will take place in the near future. Second, If you don't think Bellmont can beat Perry Meridian, you're crazy. It was 37-24 last time. Throw in Busse at 160, who is probably pretty even with Hudgins, you have a 7 point swing. Insert Sheets in at 130 against Cook and he probably doesn't get pinned (although I think Cook can pin anyone), that's another 3 points. That makes it PM 30- Bell 27 w/ the same results. And by the way, Castle barely beat Yorktown in a tourney earlier this year, so it's hard to argue that they are so much better than Bellmont.
