I'd have to agree about class A. Last year I felt like Adams Central was a prohibitive favorite, but we're so young this year that I don't see much difference between us and anyone else. South Adams will struggle if they're still giving up 4 forfeits per match, but other than that the rest of the matches may come down to how the strengths and weaknesses of the two teams facing each other match up.

We've had posts before about things wrestlers say that you don't hear in other sports. We had one last Saturday. One wrestler came in to check his weight before the bus left and told the coach "I ran 2 miles last night because I ate a slice of pizza and a piece of chicken and I felt guilty." Then, he stepped on the scale and said "Good, I'm under. I can have a drink of water." Guess they learn to appreciate the little things.

No. Athletes moving from one season to the next have to have 5 days of practice before participating in a match. If they did not play a fall sport they have to have 10 days of practice.

Dane - My youngest attended a small Christian school rather than AC, but he still took driver's ed there. It may have been different since its a 1 semester class and met before regular classes started. I'm not sure a school district can deny a student from taking a class if they live inside the district borders. Maybe an administrator could answer that.

The program from the 96-97 State Finals doesn't list anyone from Woodlan as one of the teams with qualifiers either.

Unusual name, "WrestlingTruth", to use to come on this site and use your first post to tell a lie. The AC kid was NOT caught spray painting the school. He and some other boys found and indoor shot and were throwing it, just being kids. They hit a wall in the school and put a hole in it.  The boys took responsibility for their actions and are paying for damages. It wasn't vandalism, it was kids being kids.  Now, let it die and let's enjoy state.

Fort Wayne was almost amazingly even.  Delta, Elkhart Memorial, Jay County, and Westview all qualified 9.  Carroll had 8 qualifiers.  New haven and Peru each advanced 5 and Oak Hill had the other 2 qualifiers.

Alternate came into play for the Ft Wayne semistate...
