  1. Grasshopper You must learn that happiness is more important than being right.... In addition, you will know when enough is enough when you cross the road THEN look to see if any cars were coming! Vic
  2. caliwrestler92...You are correct that Danny would bring alot back to the Warren program but I didn't say he was a lock, just one of several names bring tossed around. Granted, in my opinion, he should have the inside lane if in fact he wants the job, but again no "official" decision has been announced at this time. Coach Vic
  3. Like most I'm hearing several names being thrown around. The latest is that Danny Williams will be returning from California to make his head coaching debut. Coach Vic
  4. As a hog farmer, please know that you can NOT catch the "swine" flu from eating pork! It can only be passed by human to human contact or the passing of human bodily fluids (i.e. sweat, mucus, etc.). In addition if a person has the swine flu they are generally only contagious prior to actually breaking out with the symptoms. Coach Vic
  5. Psychomonkey has returned! Are you beginning to feel a little better today?.....Vic
  6. Perhaps we should make "Pound for Pound" groupings of wrestlers based upon school size. (LOL) Coach Vic
  7. I really don't see either Richey being upset in the first round. Coach Vic
  8. 1. Willingness to listen to and learn from the coaching staff. 2. Positive work ethic (i.e. be at practice everyday, work your butt off, keep pushing yourself, etc.). 3. Willingness to improve your technique everyday. 4. An intense mental toughness. 5. An attitude that no one can beat you if you wrestle your best. 6. The ability to control your weight from day-to-day. 7. Wrestle tough one second, one minute, one period and one match at a time. 8. Out of season training (lifting, conditioning, freestyle, open gyms, etc.). 9. Minimize those things that will keep you from obtaining your goals (i.e. girls, parties, cars, alcohol, drugs, etc.). Coach Vic
  9. Let it go! Posting any video at this time will solve nothing. At worst, Quincy made a poor decision. He will hopefully learn from this situation. Remember he is just a freshman. At best, he he being called out for something that was unintentional. Personally, I know Quincy can be a very intense wrestler and yes he doesn't like losing. But isn't that how we want our athletes to feel? At this point I am sure he has thought about the situation and has learned from it. Give the kid a break for now and see if things are different in the future. Coach Vic
  10. Gabe Berry of Warren Central remains undefeated at 215#. Coach Vic
  11. Chilly is an understatement! My teeth were chattering.. ....Vic
  12. Warrendad....I have "readjusted" the heating control several times this year and I am sure it is real toasty in there already! ;D As you know, the heat is being used strickly to keep the room warm enough so the kids don't catch a cold and NOT for any weight loss purposes!! Set-up will follow the boy's basketball game tonight. Coach Vic
  13. Y2/Warrendad...At this point I am sure all the powers to be have huddled on this matter and a decision one way or another has been made and schools will be or have been notified. However, I know while some schools were closed both days, some had "optional" practices given the fact some school corporations say you can't require athletes to practice if school is out. Therefore the next question becomes if practices were optional (get there if you can) and some kids were unable to attend does that still count as "officially" practicing or was it simply an open room? Coach Vic
  14. Warrendad....This is taken from the letter from Bobby Cox that is pinned to the top of the message board. According to his interpretation of the rule, given at least one school in our sectional was not in school both yesterday and today, all wresters will be given a two pound allowance....Now whether or not all schools have been contacted as of yet is another story....Vic
