Pike Central is hosting their 2nd annual summer wrestling open on Saturday, June 15th, at our high school gym. No USA cards required and no eliminations, we want as much wrestling as possible for everyone. Open to grades K-12, as well as a senior division. We will have separate boys and girls division in middle school and high school, and a separate women’s senior division (should there be any interest). we had over 125 wrestlers participating last year and we’d love to see much more this year. We will run 3 full mats and 3 half mats (for elementary) please see attached flier for more details. I was able to get 6 all session tickets, but I need 6 more and it said sold out, and when I clicked on individual sessions, it said they will go on sale Friday at 10 am

Valenciano has seemed to be Goins kryptonite over the last couple year. Goins has beaten so many opponents that have beaten Valenciano but has had such a struggle with him.

I don’t know their entire schedule, but I do know that Green from Bosse has beaten 3 returning regional qualifiers, 2 of which who qualified and wrestled at freshmen/sophomore state last year. I’m not saying they are great by any means, but I would say those kids know what they are doing.

Cooper Samuels (Floyd Central) is one I remember as a 4 time semistate champ
