Okay so im not reading the brackets right? I thought rooks is in the blood round already and will get demas or blokhus and then if he wins he’ll face Gomez or murin and loser of that goes for 7th/8th. Or can someone explain?

Back to not liking the ESPN format/broadcast, it drives me freakin' nuts that Quint Kessenich chases wrestlers down for interviews as soon as they leave the mat.  It is NOT good TV to see a wrester sucking wind with a mic in his face

Call stands after almost a 5 minute review!

I'm not the biggest fan of the format ESPN uses for this tournament.  The ESPN broadcast wasted time showing Andrew Alirez vs. CJ Composto, including a long review, all the while Chad Red and Sebastian Rivera were wrestling a tight match.  I tried watching it on my laptop, but no sound is limiting.  Didn't see the whole match, but Red lost a 7-6 decision in SV, on a stalling call as they went out of bounds.  Apparently, Red gave up another stalling point near the end of the 3rd period.  Riding time for Red knotted the score taking it to SV.

I wish I could comfortably say whether the calls were right or not, but I can't.  Can't go back and watch it immediately either. 

Bummed for Red. That ref was acting like it was a middle school match. Hate to end that way

Not to mention, Red faces Dresden Simon in round 1, who he lost to last year in the 2nd Round of Nationals.  Rivera hurt his knee in a Feb. 18 dual against Princeton and was held out of their final dual against Columbia.  .  He wore a heavy brace in his first 2 BTT matches and seemed unaffected before MFF out.  We'll see how 2 weeks of rest helps.  Not sure what the severity of Eierman's issue is, but he was wearing a brace as well.  It's been reported he tweaked it in the dual against Chad Red.  It will definitely be a tough road for Chad.  


 

I really hope Chad Red gets hot and upsets rivera/eirman that would be insane if we got a lee vs red final. I think hudkins and penola can be surprise AA. I can also see Lucas placing 6-8th. At 285

Hate to come off like a broken record, as I mentioned this last week....  but I detest the idea that 3rd, 5th and 7th Place matches are so unimportant that they cut short the 1st period.  

it's not like this tournament has full wrestlebacks and time is at a major premium.  Let the damned kids wrestle a full match as if it means something!

Because it happened off and on all day on that mat.  When it would start working it would stop again between matches, which is when they mute the mic.  And every time I sent in a support ticket, it magically got turned back on not long after.  And when it worked, it worked as it should, until the next time they muted it between matches. 
 
I'm comfortable with that assumption.
