  1. Agreed! If the IHSAA is holding back your child feel free to move to Pennsylvania and New Jersey. They will get all the exposure on their backs they can handle.
  2. The 92 Lawrence North did have 4 state champs but that was all. The 03 Wildcats had 4 champs, a runner up, 2 3rds, and 5th. Correct me if I'm wrong
  3. They need younger referees who can get into position quicker and start calling back points. There were multiple incidences during state finals weekend where wrestlers had their opponents on their backs and the refs were too told and out of shape to get into position and start swiping for back points. Some were pinned for 5 seconds+ because the ref was still standing up and not in position to call the pin. Many many incidences
  4. Things went downhill after Coach Svarkopf and Deckard left
  5. Bingo! MD wrestlers usually don't choose the D2 or Juco pathe either. It's Big Ten or Bust
  6. Not even the greatest recruiters today could ever put a team with 4 straight state champs like the Wildcats
  7. They are probably too young to remember. 4 time semi finalist and 2 time finalis. Garret Pepples and Brayden Bailey ALMOST became GOATs
  8. If you were in the MD wrestling room in the 80's and 90's you would understand most Wildcats had the physical talent to compete at the D1 level but not the intellectual talent to go to a D1 school. None of us became NASA scientist.
  9. I'm sure Mishawaka fans are concerned themselves drawing Parkinson
  10. Nick Lee won one state championship and Blake won 4
  11. Mater Dei Wildcats will win team title and hopefully thin out some herds
  12. In Pennsylvania and seems like the same in Indiana where the Private and Parochial are so dominant that we have a Catholic League and Public League. Catholic Leagues play other parochial schools during the season and only meet to dominate the Public schools in the off season. I also may be old school but I think girl's wrestling is mockery of a man's sport
  13. Whatever happens Hayhurst will have to face either Rioux, Dalton, Alsott, or Montgomery in the ticket round
  14. Seltzer, Mendez, and Alred are the only locks this year
  15. Can I in some of that action??? Put me down for Fitts-7 for 10K
  16. Zeke Seltzer Effect. 126 is stacked cause of him
  17. I'm just glad the Wildcats will get a second serving of Oriole Wings. Wilcats over Cathedral in the finals
  18. Im sorry my friend but it will not even be close. No one touches MD in a dual meet this year! Las Vegas would have the Wildcats at +15 pts
  19. 106 Egli-Not bad for skipping a few years of wrestling. Glad you came back out so we can have a couple more years of Egli 113 Ross-Expect him to be under the light. Has offense and defense 120 Freeman-Like stated earlier expect him to face Seltzer/Bettich in February 126 Don't know much about Hayhurst 132 Kane Egli can wrestle against ANY 132lber in the state except for one SuperSoph from up North 138 Boarman is Boarman. Looks much much stronger than previous years. Will make top 10 greatest MD wrestlers of all time 145 Bauman proved he could wrestle with any 145llber in state. Doesn't matter what weight class he's not afraid to wrestle. 152 Already holds the MD record for DQs at 2. 160 Eli will get it done in February 170 Sollars is only a sophmore and looks like he jumped over the hump. No more freshman baby fat and now man muscles. I have high expectations for him in February 182 McCartney should have another metal this year 195 McGrew is a warrior. RESPECT for going out there underweight 220 HWY Ralph puts on another 20lbs he should be fine by his senior year Shout out to North Posey's Nathan Willman. Respect for going out there underweight and devouring opponents like Pac Man
  20. Is Union Co still producing talented wrestlers named Ervin?? Been a thorn on MD's side at the Holiday Classic for 30 years
  21. Evansville Harrison scored more on Mater Dei than Avon did. Should Harrison be ranked?
  22. Yes yes and yes The rankers may have been misinformed or bias
