  1. I agree. There is a whole lot on the line in those consolation matches. To reduce it by one minute, especially when the 3rd/4th and 1st/2nd matches are being wrestled at the same time makes no sense.
  2. *Sam Hansen is long gone, and won't be wrestling at 182. His baby brother Luke will be at 182 on Wednesday night:-) Just a quick update on Sam, the 2018 state runner-up at 195. He is in his final year of seminary at Bishop Brute' here in Indianapolis. He is studying to be a priest in the Catholic church and is completely happy. He'll be spending time and Creighton University this summer and traveling to the Holy Land in May. When he returns he'll spend the next four years in formation at St. Meinrad Seminary in Southern Indiana. The sacrifices he made in wrestling were always opportunities to grow closer to God, and I guarantee the homilies that he gives will be filled with stories about growing in his relationship with God through the life-changing sport of wrestling. Please keep Sam in your prayers as he journeys towards ordination!
  3. Bishop Chatard High School in Indianapolis, Indiana is seeking a head coach to lead their program. Interested candidates should contact either Athletic Director Mike Ford at mford@bishopchatard.org or Principal Joe Hansen at jhansen@bishopchatard.org.
  4. If anybody has the order they are wrestling please post it. Thanks!
  5. A true champ, and I wish him nothing but the best. Prayers for a speedy recovery.
  6. Bishop Chatard HS (Indianapolis) is accepting applications for its Head Coach of Varsity Wrestling. The program has a solid group of student-athletes committed to excellence. The current team has numerous strong (potential podium) seniors, as well as talented underclassmen. What we lack in facilities we make up for with a supportive administration interested in building Bishop Chatard into a wresting powerhouse. Interested candidates should submit cover letter, resume, and references to Mike Ford, Director of Athletics, Bishop Chatard HS, 5885 Crittenden Ave., Indianapolis, IN 46220-2840 or by e-mail at mford@bishopchatard.org. Position description requests and questions may be directed to Athletic Director Mike Ford at 317-251-1451 x2256. Additional questions may be directed to their cauliflowered ear principal Joe Hansen at 317-251-1451 x1900, or jhansen@bishopchatard.org
