  1. That's the gift that keeps on giving the WHOLE year round!
  2. Thanks, there isn't much to comment on the topic. What is a honorary #TheCounty sponsored social membership?
  3. I agree with this but, Correct me if I am wrong in Indiana there's no seeding criteria going into the last tournament to determine who is the best. Therefore wins and loses mean nothing, everything is practice up-to the big dance.
  4. You ask and you shall receive. It's pretty simple in my opinion, if a kid is 5-0 and loses then the kid is 5-1, no matter if the lose occurs in CA, KY, or Planet Mars!
  5. The rule is literal but what I mean is it refers to control and not necessarily an exact position. Its an example of control, but if in that exact position than yes its 2 points and therefore literal.
  6. This would change quite a bit of scrambles but also may allow some clock run-outs, don't you think?
  7. Use my same email address I use for banking is your suggestion? Thank you for pointing me to the place to become a referee, I agree with you there!!
  8. Yes and you are correct but the rule is not literal. But it shows a situation where the bottom wrestler has an ankle, and the top wrestler has more than an ankle like in this scenario.
  9. I get it. A kid having some fun. Are there a lot of kids posting on here? I was hoping this was legit and love weighing in with other wrestling fans!! Not to say kids don't know wrestling just typically biases.
  10. I had to. Only other email addresses I own are for work. Wouldn't ever put any personal information on forums duh... And when you don't have the facts on your side you attack the person. With your sarcasm are you saying the officials were good? And that the discussion is a bad one?
  11. Very Nice! Will this be televised also? That was great broadcasting btw. Very knowledgeable commentators!
  12. Thank you for clearing that up. Control occurred when the top wrestler stopped the bottom wrestler and had 1 hand on the mat, 1 hand on the leg, and the bottom wrestlers arm trapped with his leg. see rule below (5-25-1) There is control by the wrestler on top even thought the hands of the opponent are locked around a leg. The top wrestler has his opponent off the base and is hip to hip
  13. HaHa, I don't know Geno but I'm sure he is a wrestling genius in his own right
  14. It's easy to argue when the facts are on your side. Is this not the board to talk about all things high school wrestling as they say? Also any other good matches coming up I could go see?
  15. Right on! I hate to bash the officials but man they have to do better, especially when its about TD points, these are the easy ones. Both kids appear to be tough wrestlers and hats off to them both for battling right to the end. Both should be proud!
  16. Where did you see the new rules? I was unaware?
  17. You have? Where? Were they umpires filling in on short notice? LOL
  18. Usually when you have a stud wrestler at a weight its not about a win or a lose its about BONUS POINTS. This was a good call because at 126 Cathedrals wrestler pinned the Perry wrestler with around 20 seconds to go in the 2nd. The officials ruled this OB and didn't even award 2 TD. Another example of the toilet bowl officiating in this match. How about College out of Bounds Rules Indiana?
  19. This was my first experience with Indiana Wrestling and I have to say two great programs and some really talented kids. Officials on the other hand were straight POO! As far as your question goes it is a simple one. Once the Perry wrestlers motion was stopped by the Cathedral wrestler, he was on his back, the Cathedral wrestler actually at one point had control of his arm with the leg, the other leg in hand and a hand posted on the ground, this was two and even NF should have started. Actually it was two before that, at the point where the Commentators said that may have been two, it was indeed. Cathedral gets that win in any other venue.
