Congratulations to Dante Colza from Hobart for signing with Heidelberg(OH). He is projected to wrestle 165.

I do think Rumph would have been the champ.  Glad to see he will be wrestling #7 Cole Matthews of PA for Indiana's Dream Team.  Based on Rumph's weight, looks like he could have gone 132 for the Dream Team and faced #2 Real Woods of Il.

Shouldn't have taken the opportunity away from Mr. Rumph who many saw as the eventual champ... This was his last opportunity to wrestle flonationals and to have a championship opportunity taken away by a LAYDOWN is ridiculous. I don't know who made the laydown call, but it's sickening.

BigBruda reacted to Y2CJ41 in Forfeits - MN's proposed solution
My biggest fear is once we start losing weights, we can't get them back if participation rises or we get the desired affect.
Especially at smaller schools you seem to have a lot more "varsity or bust" attitudes and with less opportunities I don't see that being a good thing.
As far as this proposal, I can see some issues. It said basically they will only have 14 weights in duals if it is agreed upon prior. Two issues I see are....
    1. Kids at 195 and 106 won't have enough matches during the season.
    2. Teams that have able bodied wrestlers might lean towards the 12 weights if the other team has a good 106 or 195 in order for them to have a better shot to win.

I never said I was underestimating him, I simply don't see what you see. Turley has some of the best partners a freshman could ask for in (Triana)(Hunter)(Colza)(Fattore). Hobart has a much tougher schedule as well. Turley is battle tested and brings a lot to the table. Good luck to Gavin!

    Possible Match-Up Talk
106 Moran will likely battle with Sinkovics in the final, Moran is surely the favorite.
    113 Hegedus vs Moreno. EXCITING
    120 Triana vs Peele. BOOM!
    126 Poynter stands alone.
132 Good weight class, could have a few good matches.
138 Rumph, good luck stopping that young man.
145 Turley vs LaPlace, winner gets Mcintosh? This can shape up to be a very fun weight.
152 Tough guys will go to battle. Joseph Walker is the frontrunner. Nugent and Hunter will be chasing right after him.
160 Washington vs Colza? Could be fireworks, should be exciting to see Washington continue his path of destruction or will Colza knock him off course.
170 Can anyone tame the beast in Zack Fattore?
182 Torres may be tested with a couple of strong, tough guys behind him.
195 Jacob Bondon has looked great can he keep it up? Tyler Hunter is not to be overlooked as he was a Harvest Classic Finalist this year.
220 Swoopes looks to sweep the competition.
285 Faulkner still has his best wrestling ahead of him, can he prove that this weekend?
