  1. Coach Smith from Monrovia showed some awesome stuff this past week! This Thursday we have Derek Blubaugh coming in the room. Derek's accolades:

    4X Sectional Champ

    4X Regional Champ

    2X IHSAA placewinner

    3X All-American

    2024 NCAA CHAMP

Make sure you head on over to the 'Burg this Thursday to see some awesome technique! We've had wrestlers from Mooresville, Ben Davis, Avon, Purdue Polytech, Martinsville, Warren Central, Owen Valley, Cascade, Decatur Central, Harrison (Ohio), Boyd County (Kentucky), and Tri-West in the room this off-season!

  2. Come out this Thursday to get technique from current Lawrence North head coach Jacob Aven. We have had a lot of different partners in the room every week. We've had Owen Valley, Purdue Polytech, Warren Central, Mooresville, Boyd County (Kentucky), Tri-West, Cascade, Martinsville, Ben Davis, and Decatur Central in our room this off-season. Don't miss some freestyle technique and some live wrestling to gear up for qualifiers before freestyle state!

  3. We are back at it tonight with Breyden Lowery as our clinician. Breyden was a 4X placer, state champion, and currently wrestles at UIndy. Come get some technique and some live before Spring Break. We've had Mooresville, Owen valley, Purdue Polytechnic, Martinsville, Tri-West, Warren Central, and Cascade in our room.

  4. We're back at it tonight. Technique will be coming from our Brownsburg staff. Come get one last tuneup in before Freestyle state this weekend. Had wrestlers from Lawrence North, Monrovia, Tri-West, and Decatur Central in the room.

I love the Chicago style pizza.    But when i make my semi-annual trip to Windy City,  Im always looking to try a new Chicago Style Italian Beef.  So with your time in West Lafayette,  AJ.s has a solid Italian Beef.   Did you like that one?     HMMMM no sour grapes,  but I bet Evansville doesn't have Italian Beef.

AJs is solid. Whenever I get back in the region I always hit up Jewel-Osco and Pops. I usually stick with chicken sandwiches at restaurants, as those are hard to mess up.

I am a huge fan of Edwardos, house of pizza, and Gelsosomos. Best pizza is over the border in Chi. I am burnt out on this one but if you never had it you have to try JJs pizza shack: stuffed crust pizza.

Gelsosomos and Edwardos are both good joints. I miss having multiple pizza locations. I really miss not having an Italian beef shop near me.

Just in case if I'm up in the Region and hungry,  what is the best pizza in the world?

This is tough. I'm a huge fan of Aurelio's, however, you have to do the original one in Homewood if you're going to do it right. I love Beggar's but may be in the minority there. Deep dish is not what most people from the Chicago-land area eat. It's a cool thing to get once or twice a year but not every time you get pizza.

  8. Sir, I do not know you, nor have I ever seen you wrestle. I would like to steer the conversation back into best to never qualify. I would like to nominate Griffin Ison. Take a look at his hit list since 2016, hard to find a better one. He beat Christian Carroll, Drake Buchanan, Andrew Wilson, Logan Boe, Jordan Fulks, Gunner Henry, Luke Hansen, Jajuan Anderson, the list goes on.

    Is this every Thursday?

Yes every Thursday at 5:30. We had athletes from Tri-West, Crawfordsville, Lebanon, and Brownsburg. This week we will have Coach Jacob Aven from Lawrence North. Coach Aven was a National Qualifer for Purdue. Coach Aven has shown how important he is in his athletes lives. Take a look at Brandon Johnson, he was a regional qualifier last year and this year Brandon placed 6th in the state. Come get better this week!

  10. Excited to bring the #SouthSide into the room this week! Coach Schmaltz does a great job breaking down details of his technique, make sure to stop in! In the past we've had wrestlers from Avon, Cascade, North Putnam, Ben Davis, Lawrence North, Roncalli, Perry Meridian, Lafayette Harrison, Westfield, Franklin Central, Mooresville, and many others.

  11. Just getting destroyed in this thread. I've always been a picky eater. I have never liked hamburgers, bacon, anything carbonated. My entire life I have ran on peanut butter and Jelly sandwiches. Even with those I need a certain type of bread and peanut butter. They do not sell the bread down here so my mother brings it down when she comes to visit.

While on this thread I would like to shoutout my boys Jacob Aven and Wes Bernard. Those guys go to every off-season tournament and it paid off this weekend!

Also, I am not the man/wrestler/coach that I am without Vince Sessa.
