Logan Boe had 9 losses and to the naked eye that's misleading...at least 6 of them came from Rioux and Campbell..not to.mention sego and Johnson...Im happy for him, he's battle tested and got a good chance at winning on Friday night..

It was a great event. The one change I would want would be a location change for the south qualifier, perhaps to Bloomington?  At the moment with it in Evansville 3/4 of the teams in the state are closer to Ft Wayne than Evansville. Which leads to the obvious issue of 280 wrestlers at one qualifier and 130 at the other. 
A south qualifier that is more central to the southern half of the state could make this less of an issue. I do see the benefit to hosting it at the semi-state sites but I feel like finding a gym to host in Bloomington shouldn't be too difficult and theres no way rental costs would end up being as much as it is to rent out the ford center.
Like I said, a great event. Just my two cents.

Yes! That's what it was with Cayden.  It totally shocked me he cut him, I thought maybe the score was wrong.  Someone beside me said, "He's gassed. He broke him. He knows he can take him down."  Great match from both guys.  Yet another reason to love this sport.
 
Noah Franklin... Holy crap... That match with Luigs was out of this world crazy. Between that match and whatever was going on next to it my mind was blown.
 
I just keep coming down to Columbus East.  Combest vs Luigs was yet another incredible match of that stretch of time. 

i dont know one person from Franklin i dont think. But I do know many who valued the win over Laughlin substantially.  why all the assumptions?

Yeah when fuller was winning I wrote him in my bracket. Then has to scratch him out and put stock in there. It was a great match.
 
Stock beat four quality wrestlers...no match was easy.

Brooks bros had a great day.  But im also gonna throw Stock in for my vote.  To beat a guy twice in three weeks who many called all year "unbeatable", on top of that he beat Micha Keller in rd 1 and then come back from 5-0 to beat Fuller was as good of a all around day as I saw.

He's definitely very good and a tough matchup for Burk. 
 
I'd throw the Rooks brothers from Columbus East into the mix.  At 120 Cayden Rooks beat Ty Mills in the semi-finals and Mosconi of Indian Creek in the finals.  At 126 Graham took out Blake Mulkey of Brownsburg in the semi finals and beat Noah Hunt of Bloomington South (Who beat Matt Lee of EMD in the semi-finals). 
 
Columbus East had a great day in Evansville and a fantastic semi-final round.

I agree that there doesn't need to be a topic posted every time a ref gets a call wrong, but where has this idea that "if you don't like the calls, become a ref" come from? If you get a poorly cooked meal, do you have to become a chef before you can criticize it? If somebody does a half-assed job fixing your car, do you have to shrug it off if you aren't a mechanic yourself? Nobody is perfect, everyone makes mistakes, but we don't have to baby the refs every time somebody complains about their call. On the flip side though, we don't have to make threads on a message board about them.

Yep, you're a perfect guy I'm sure Nick. I used to watch you wrestle. You "whined"a few times. Preach to all of us. Message boards are for sharing people's passionate thoughts. You've spouted plenty of your opinions on here. Nobody on here has named the official or demeaned him. The conversation is primarily about a coaches ethics of lack thereof, depending on your perspective. The message board allows people to vent. Thank goodness. Wrestling coaches and families need it sometimes. Thanks Y2!

I never said a neutral Granby... a standing Granby.  It could still be in the neutral position, but the opponent is behind you trying to take you down to the mat.
