There's plenty of privates you can attend that are strictly you and the coach, (assuming the coach is around your size). I don't think that is necessarily the reason because there are plenty ways to obtain privates legally, but you are right about kids not practicing with other kids.
I think if someone is taking wrestling very seriously, they should consider dropping football. injuries suck and should be avoided at all cost. If you play football to get in shape, you need to remember you aren't limited to football, you could workout on your own, run, stretch, anything active will help. Football is cool and all, but it may not be the best for some people, especially smaller people.
I've heard things about teams being able to switch over from fight shorts/shirts instead of singlets. Has this taken place yet? If not, is it going to take place, or is it still an idea? I know some summer duel teams have done it.
