  1. Caught ya slippin......The Noehre's. Mandatory mention.
  2. Congrats young man. Vote is in.
  3. What @grappleapple is making reference to is the amount of wrestlers we've had out until just a couple weeks ago. Aside from 113 #2 AJ Black transferring, and 182 #4 Silas Allred just returning from injury the beginning of Dec......Shenandoah had 6 regular varsity guys recently return and just become eligible the week before Team State. Prior to......we mostly had freshman and JV guys filling out the line-up. With the exception of 145 #9 Lohrey, previously ranked Pugsley (both State Qualifiers), and 3 other weight classes. However......a W is a W. And we at Shenandoah congratulate Union City on their early victory and wish them success the remainder of the regular season and state series run. They'll definitely have their work cut out for them in conference. Knightstown is very solid and well coached (should undoubtedly win conference), and many of the other schools have good coaches & legit wrestlers that can compete on a high level. A hand full of them.....on a very high level. Good luck to all the TEC teams battling it out. We look forward to seeing you guys come sectional & regional.
  4. Redshirt at Duke Jeremiah Reitz had a solid showing as well. Made it to the final 16 (consi).
  5. Outstanding effort and accomplishment.
  6. -Spartan notables- 126) Viduya over Smiley 6-2 132) Noehre over Phillips fall 138) Moore over Burford major . Burford over Pugsley . Dembowski over Pugsley . Moore over Dembowski Pugsley over Strueder 145) Lohrey over Noehre 7-4 Lohrey over Humbert fall Noehre over Carr dec 152) Lamore over Browning tech 18-3 160) Eitlegeorge over Kasch 5-4 Eitlegeorge over Winner 4-2 (I think) Winner over Coffman 7-2 170) Lowe over Trafiacanti 3-1 182) Allred over Mahan tech 20-2 Mahan over Potosky fall Allred over Christiansen fall Wish I could help more brother. But these are the match-ups and scores I'm most familiar with. There's some other scores/match ups in the Spartan thread that may be helpful as well. They didn't include scores on the brackets by the way. Either way.....hope the info is beneficial.
  7. Coming off injury and didn't compete. He and my son Silas have been teammates in the off-season (Outlaws) (Team IN). Briefly spoke to him inquiring about his situation when I too noticed he wasn't wrestling. He said that he'll be back rolling next week (wrist injury). Great kid.
  8. Very appreciated brother. Thoroughly enjoyed watching many of your guys compete. Very talented, physical young men. Really look forward to seeing Mendez bang with the big fellas next year! Congratulations on your team's collective success. Well deserved.
  9. Shenandoah wins 1A with 2 Champs, 4th place finisher, a 5th, 8th........and multiple other wrestlers beaten in the match prior to medal rounds.
  10. State ranked # 3 Dakota Ault from FW Northside.....#10 Jack Williams from Carmel. Also NC semi-state #4 Isaiah Greene (Beech Grove), East Chi semi-state #7 Michael Foster (Crown Point).....as well as FW semi-state #4 Will Swartz (FW Snider). Looks to be another solid weight class.
  11. A couple sleepers to not overlook is 126-Gabe Phillips from Centerville & 145-Dyllion Humbert from Franklin Co. Both are very capable of ruining someone's day.
  12. I'm confident it was an honest mistake on Jason's end. Appreciate the additional info for his benefit.
  13. Jason......The young man now wrestling 220 for JC and ranked 5th is named Gaven Hare. Not sure if it's the same young man your son wrestled......but hopefully that gives you some clarity brother.
  14. Seems to be. From all I've gathered Tucker is rolling at 170. In fact....he's even bumped up to 182 for better opponents in certain duals. Admittedly......haven't spoken to him or his dad in awhile. Would it shock me if he ends up at 160 before its all said and done......absolutely not. That's a kid who gets better at National events just because of his ability to roll with great partners at open rooms. Awesome young man off the mat as well.
  15. They don't seed wrestlers. Honestly has been a travesty for some kids. But......that's all part of the Spartan I suppose. I've seen the 2 top state ranked guys in a bracket face each other much earlier than they should. In fact, my son beat a young man last year in the quarters that would've easily came out the other side of the bracket.
  16. At 220lbs.....#3 McClaine (Lebanon) vs #5 Hare (Jay Co) could be a potential war as well.
  17. Ironically......we asked tourney directors last year about that specific scenario. They voiced that issue isn't because they don't desire it. It's that the Spartan Bowl itself lacks the reception and electrical capabilities for a trustworthy run at it.
  18. Shouldn't be too tough to take a pic. Admittedly......final bracket may be tough. But in the event they don't update champs on public bracket......Ill just message you the winners.
  19. I'll hook ya up brother. I'll try to send before/after Fri. Then final brackets Sat.
  20. Hate to hear that brother. Continued health/success to you and Grant this season! Appreciate the kind words about Silas.
  21. Team list......and some potential match-ups. Carmel Crown Point BeechGrove Shenandoah Fishers East Noble Batesville Benton Central Jay County Roncalli Franklin County Lebanon Greenfield Central Valpo Richmond Connersville Greensburg FW Northside FW Snider Rushville Shelbyville Daleville Centerville Hagerstown Eastern Hancock Cambridge City Lincoln Eastern (Pakin) Northeastern Oldenburg Academy Southern Wells Union County Western Boone 126lbs- Will likely feature a #6 Viduya vs #8 Smiley rematch. #11 Kelly from CP is someone to take seriously as well. 132lbs-#5 Freije......#8 Noehre.....#16 Phillips. 138lbs-#16 Strueder........Dembowski from Valpo....Pugsley (Doah)....Burford (CP)......Moore (B Grove)....Frichtner (S Wells). Guys looking to climb, or find themselves back in the rankings! 145lbs-Another possible rematch....#9 Lohrey vs #10 Noehre. Humbert from Franklin Co & Redd from Connersville are ones to watch as well. 160lbs-Features some likely Bankers Life match-ups! #3 Kasch.....#5 Winner.....#8 Eitlegeorge! All hailing from different semi-states. Definitely going to be a fun weight class! 170lbs- #8 Lowe......#14 Trafiancanti.....Tucker Coffman.....Logan Hart. 182lbs-#4 Allred......#9 Mahan......#14 Potosky. 195lbs-#8 Goforth......#11 Hansen.....a VERY capable Bohman from Franklin Co as well! These are just some potential match-ups that I personally have a lot of interest in. Countless other state ranked & semi-state ranked wrestlers in every weight class. Feel free to drop predictions, others wrestlers to watch, or potential big match-ups in weight classes I didn't mention! Always a great couple days, and awesome wrestling atmosphere at the Spartan!!!
  22. Thanks brother. C Brewer looked real impressive bumping up as well. Controlled the whole match.
