SpunkyPotato reacted to Caleb Spires in Spladles on Friday Night
Not Friday night but Fleener spladling Drew Hughes Saturday morning is one of the most memorable state upsets in the years I've gone.

SpunkyPotato got a reaction from IronPenguin in 4 over 1 at semi-state...where will it happen this year?
In the offseason, I believe HSE freshman Reece Luhmann (30-11) beat Perry Meridian Brayden Lowery (40-2)...should be an interesting first round matchup!

SpunkyPotato got a reaction from brodygrant in Balance between Football and Wrestling
Football and Wrestling are very tough to balance, and the amount of kids that do it are at a relatively high number as well. A lot of times, the coaches have an issue with either sport and dislike it completely making the claim that "their sport is more important." This especially occurs in the summer when even the top kids are trying to balance offseason, and summer workouts including team camps, practices, etc. Its a tough decision to make.

SpunkyPotato got a reaction from FWwrestling1996 in 132 super bracket from the past 15 years
Deondre Wilson at the end of his career was an absolute killer. I could see him potentially pulling off an upset. 2 great athletes and wrestlers 1 v 1.

SpunkyPotato got a reaction from WaltHarris in Plea to ISWA parents
This isn't just a location specific issue. I think this just needs to be a plea to all wrestling fans on take pride in the way you take care of where you are. Leaving trash on the ground or smoking on a smoke free campus is disrespectful of property whether it be just a small school or bankers life. There are people who work their tails off to clean the facilities we take for granted and the least we can do is make their job easier. Taking something outside of school property or throwing away trash is an easy task to perform, and there are many more things that could go on this list

SpunkyPotato got a reaction from Caleb Spires in 2015 vs. 2016 Champs
No doubt. The wrestling styles differ so much with Lee and Cash. A great potential matchup!

New Castle is awesome! The energy and ambience there gets better every year

Wasn't it through IHSAATV though? I thought they used to do a stream of all 4 mats. I don't want to pay

SpunkyPotato got a reaction from Novice Bat in Be the bracket buster
I love this. Underdogs are my favorite, whether it's JV to state, small school, or even a first year wrestler. Best of luck to everyone. What a great sport we have.

SpunkyPotato got a reaction from DrSugarBritches in Frankfort Sectional
Aside from the wrestling which has been great, Frankfort has done an outstanding job with the tournament. That finals introduction was great!

By first glance Clinton Praire got some pretty generous draws imo

SpunkyPotato got a reaction from Bruins2013 in 126?
Honestly, this could go anyone's way. Despite previous matches and such, it truly depends on who is peaking at the right time in the state tournament. This weight class is arguably one of the best in the state, depth wise of course.
