    Based on last year, large schools that get caught blatantly violating the rules are the ones that get breaks.

    Purdue's current 165 is also only starting due to an injury to Emil Soehnlin, who was consistently ranked in the top 20 before his injury.

    Yeah. I remember thinking how ridiculous it was that he placed in the bottom 4 on Saturday at 152 as a junior and then pinned the field as a senior at 215.

    I thought I read awhile ago that Purdue recruit Neinjaus was going to compete there as well. Has that changed or am I just misremembering?

    Has anyone used a footwork trainer mat for their kids at any age level? If so, what were your thought?

    Was that the wrestler that was in the bathroom at New Castle? I don't remember hearing about Bobby Cox ever doing that.

    Thanks to you and everyone who puts together team state. It's great for the sport.

    I like seeing regional opponents throughout the year to give my guys a measuring stick for what they might see that 2nd weekend of the state series. It also usually helps give a common opponent against any sectional opponents that we don't get to see throughout the year due to scheduling or injuries.

    Teams in less populous areas of the state could get shafted on drive time.

    120 at Richmond may be incorrect as well. But as far as I know, it's hearsay, so I won't say why as I don't want to spread bad info on a wrestler from another school.

    And realistically, there is no way the IHSAA would give us another weekend even if we did all want it.

    Yes. For one year there were wrestlebacks for true fifth at regional and semistate.

    My only question is if that Boone Grove wrestler has a mom or aunt named Eva.

    I knew what you meant. He actually wrestled a freshman of mine last year at regionals that was there as an alternate. Takedown, pin, super respectful to both my wrestler and myself. He's a good apple.

    Depending on how our sectional goes, I may request that he take his first round match at regional lightly.

    Yeah, after the last video, I'm still not sure on proper attire for female wrestlers...
