Can't forget Cayden Whitaker in this group. They finished 2nd/3rd/4th at state with Jacob Covaciu winning. Met in dual meets, county meets, tournaments, conference, sectionals, regionals, semi-state, and state. Idk how many times these 3 wrestled in one season but it was an insane amount of times. Whitaker going undefeated against Mappes and only losing 1x to Vanhorn.

This kid was just allowed in as per Durham and his father. Why have qualifiers? Apparently you don't need them.

What is the association that puts this on? I have a question for the tournament director. Thanks.

A little confused on the 3A. Franklin Community is sitting pretty high with 6 Regional Qualifiers (all underclassmen). None advanced to Semi-State. However, Martinsville sends 8 to Regionals with 5 underclassmen. Then 4 to semi-state with 2 underclassmen. I believe the Mooresville sectional would have the "Crowdedness" factor. 31 of the 56 Semi-state Qualifiers come from the Mooresville sectional compared to the Avon sectional. Just a little confused. Not complaining at all. And thank you for all your work and all you do. Coming through the Mooresville sectional, Regional, and EV Semi is absolutely brutal.

Love this tournament. You will probably see some wrestlers not place at this tournament but qualify for state. It happened to one of my guys a couple years ago and has happened to several other wrestlers over the years. Speaks volumes about the level of competition.
