  1. Make sure you are at Warren tonight! Coach Pompei will be bringing some of his All-Americans from this year's team that finished top 6 in the nation! Not only will there be top notch technique and great freaking wrestling, but you can also weigh in for our tournament right after practice! Make sure you register on Track. Cost for our tournament is $25 for both styles, $15 for one. A portion of the proceeds of our tournament will be donated to Autism Research plus Chris Lytle will be there! The best RTC tonight plus sign ups for the biggest and best local freestyle tournament. It's a win win! Make sure you are there and ready to go by 6pm!
  2. We are pumped for tomorrow's RTC!!! I have known Coach Pompei for some time now and the things he has accomplished at Indiana Tech is nothing short of incredible! This year alone, his team won their conference with 5 individual champs, 7 national qualifiers, 6 All-Americans at Nationals, 7 scholar athletes, and another top ten finish! Coach Pompei will be showing some great technique and there will be plenty of time to grind it out with some of Indiana's best! Make sure you are there!!! Door 14 starts at 6:00pm Be there. Work Hard. Get better.
  3. Don't forget, RTC tonight! Lot's of great technique and live with guest clinician Chad Welch. Found this video on the youtubes of Chad winning his Midlands Championship. Be there and be ready by 6!
  4. Tomorrow make sure you are at Warren! We are pumped to have Coach Welch come down to the east side to make Indiana wrestling better! These past few weeks we have had multiple hammers in every practice from Avon, Brownsburg, Cathedral, Roncali, and countless other great programs! If you want to get better, learn great technique, and test yourself against some of Indiana’s finest be at Warren!
  5. I finally found a clinician who is balder than me. Our guest clinician will be Chad Welch! Coach Welch is currently doing great things at Carmel with Coach Pendowski. As a wrestler, Coach Welch was one of the toughest to come through Indiana. Chad was a three time DI Qualifier for Purdue, leading his team in wins his senior season while also being voted Outstanding Wrestler. Chad also became only the second Boilermaker to win the Midlands Tournament. In high school, Chad wrested for Castle and was an undefeated state champion, 4x qualifier, and also a NHSCA Senior National Champion. This is an awesome opportunity to learn great technique from one of Indiana's best!
  6. Every Wednesday we have had over 50 kids representing schools all across central Indiana grinding it out with multiple state champs and placers! We will post more info on this week's RTC shortly but if you want to get better and bust your tail, be at Warren on Wednesdays! On a side note, the next time I wrestle Carson Brewer, it will be with a baseball bat. Details: 6-7:30 enter through door 14 Be there. Work hard. Get better.
  7. Just got off the phone w the clinicians for tonight. Bad news. They are not allowed to come to tonight’s RTC. So what did I do? I put down my saw (building a shelter today) and made some calls. Good news! One of our former wrestlers, Cody Lecount is coming in to be our guest clinician! Cody’s accolades are to much to mention. I’ve been blessed to have coached a lot of great wrestlers and Cody is hands down the best technician I have coached! This is freaking awesome for him to volunteer to come in on such short notice! You guys will have to ask him about the time I took him through one of my hillbilly workouts. We played a fun game called “run up the hill”. 6-7:30 door 14 be there. Get better.
  8. This past RTC was awesome with state champs and placers all grinding it out and getting better on the east side. This Wednesday we will be hosting multiple IU wrestlers!!! 9. Taking a break from working my horse to post this. RTC tonight at 6! Make sure you’re there! Coach McClurg will be show No some top notch technique and there will be some serious grind time!
  10. It's spring break for a lot of schools but we're still rolling. This week's guest clinician is Riley McClurg. Coach McClurg was an IHSAA State Champion and former DI wrestler. As a coach, he has helped lift Roncali's program to new heights. Riley's technique is top notch! We have had consistently 60+ plus wrestlers at every RTC. Make sure you're there! Details: Wednesday 3/21 6-7:30 Enter through door 14 Work hard. Get better.
  11. Awesome practice last night with 5 Wabash wrestlers, an IU wrestler, and over 50 kids grinding it out. WE WILL BE HAVING RTC AND PRACTICE OVER SPRING BREAK. All are welcome. RTCs on Wednesdays. Practice will be Mondays and Thursdays at 6 (tentatively at 6pm).
  12. UPDATE!!!!! Reece is unable to attend tonight's RTC (Y2, you'll have to tell me how to beat him next time, my strategy involved a baseball bat). Reece will be sending not one, not two, but three Wabash All-Americans to run practice tonight! Come to Warren tonight for the opportunity to learn from and wrestle with current college wrestlers! Technicians will be: Owen Doster: 7th at 133 Kyle Hatch: 8th at 157 Darden Schurg: 4th at 174
  13. We're freaking jacked up for tomorrow's RTC. Reece is one of the best technicians I have been around! Make sure you, your friends, your friends' friends, your dog, heck, even your grandma show up tomorrow at Warren. Practice starts at 6. Enter through door 14.
  14. The past two RTCs have been amazing with 60+ wrestlers each practice from over 10 schools. This Wednesday, we have Wabash Assistant Coach, Reece Lefever, running our practice. Aside from having a horrible haircut, Reece's technique is outstanding! As a wrestler he was the first 3x All-American for Wabash, helping lead his team to a program high Third Place his senior year at NCAAs. If you want the best competition and great technique, make sure you are at Warren Central on 3/14/18. Details: Enter Door 14 Practice is from 6-7:30 Be there. Get better.
  15. RTC is tomorrow at 6! Make sure you are there! Heck, show up early, we always have guys grinding before practice starts. Once again, our guest clinician is Coach Ester. As a head coach, Coach Ester has coached almost 40 NAIA qualifiers and ten All Americans. Coach Ester started the wrestling program at IN Tech which has been steam rolling the competition lately. Once again, enter through door 14. Starts at 6pm sharp. Be there. Get Better.
  16. Former Indiana Tech coach, Mike Ester, will be this week's guest clinician. Mike will be showing some great technique as well as incorporating a lot of live situations in preparation for folkstyle state. This is a great opportunity to learn some new technique and grind it out with wrestlers from different schools. Be there. Get better. Don't miss this one! Details: Warren Central Wrestling Room 6-7:30 enter through door 14
  17. Snyder, Here's the game plan: 1. Make him wrestle everyone...including Winfield 2. Distract him with random jokes about Tonte's matching jumpsuits 3. Pick up large blunt object 4. Upon using previously stated large blunt object I will jump on top of him and yell "two" Match over. Thoughts?
  18. RTC is from 6-7:30 Tonight. Guest Clinician: Kyle Ayersman (he's won some wrestling matches) Enter through door 14. Take advantage of the opportunity to learn technique from one of Indiana's best and grind it out with great wrestlers from multiple schools.
  19. Worst case scenario, we can all make fun of Tonte's attire. That guy goes shoe shopping more than teenage girl and has more jump suits than a Run DMC music video. Seriously looking forward to some great technique and Snyder, we won't steal Ayersman...on second thought, I do know a darn good realtor out here on the east side
  20. Next Wednesday (2.28.18), Warren Central RTC is proud to host Kyle Ayersman as our guest clinician. Kyle is currently a coach on Snyder's staff and I'm pretty sure their team has been kicking some butt (3x defending 3A Team state champs). Kyle's resume is outstanding, including the following: 193-2 high school career 1X 3rd place finisher 3X 1st place finisher Wrestled for Purdue Boilermakers 2016 University Nationals freestyle runner-up 2017 Cliff Keen Wrestling Invitational 7th place Current assistant coach for the I.H.S.W.C.A. Dual State Champions and IHSAA State Runner-Ups Practice starts at 6pm and lasts until 7:30. Enter through door 14. I should probably include some county hashtags and whatnot but I've never been a fan of the snaptweets and social medias (I spend my spare time shooting guns and working cattle with my dog Toad). Bottom line is be there. Get better. Take advantage of the opportunity. Coach Krulik
  21. I used a JV 106 who missed weight for coyote bait. Works every time.
  22. If you are attending this free camp, please send myself or Coach Tonte a brief bio sheet that we can give to coach Bono. mkrulik@warren.k12.in.us jtonte@warren.k12.in.us
  23. Coaches social will be afterwards on Saturday night at casa del Tonte. His ruggedly good looking assistant coach will be cooking deer steaks.
  24. We will still be rolling on Wednesday nights from 6-7:30. Enter through door 14. Word hard. Get better. Our guest clinician this Wednesday will be Kirk Johnson. Kirk recently graduated from Purdue University where he was a multiple time letter winner. I had the privilege of coaching Kirk in high school and he was, without a doubt, one of the hardest workers I have ever been associated with. He was a 3x top four place winner at IHSAA State Finals as well as a FloNats AA and 2x Junior Fargo AA.
  25. When: Wednesday, 6 PM Where: Warren Central High School Wrestling Room, enter through door #14 Our guest clinician will be Coach Alex Joseph. Coach Joseph comes to Indiana from Stillwater, OK where he was a coach at nationally ranked Stillwater High School. He has also coached state championship teams in Colorado as well as coached at DI Northern Colorado University. Coach Joseph has produced multiple Division I athletes and All-Americans. Coach Joseph is currently the head coach for the North Indy Athletic Club, or NIAC. More information on his coaching philosophy and the NIAC can be found at: http://www.niacwrestling.com Be there.
