  2. 195 and both Hwt spots are still open for anyone who wants the opportunity ?
  3. we have filled the 132, 140 spots. the 195 and one of the HWT spots have soft comitments and may solidify in next 24hrs. this will leave 1 HWT spot open for MS team. call me Jason Miller 219-730-9489
  4. Yes, numbers were low this year as it was tough timing for the wrestle off's being during spring break. My issue is that when we had them in February people complained it was too early because it was hard for kids to get back to weight in April. We couldn't hold it in early March because I had no idea until closer to time when we were going to be able to hold Folkstyle state and how many weekends it was going to take so we landed on this date as being the real only choice this year. With that said it doesn't help that we have lots of people out encouraging other things and discouraging people from wanting to be part of the ISWA National Team trip (I won't go into specifics, but like Spencer Lee says "if you know you know"). Its OK, we have several kids that are getting the great opportunity and will get better and benefit from the trip. We do however need the following weights filled for MS team if anyone wants the opportunity and or wants to help get kids out there. MS 132,140,195 & HWT (2) Reach out to me directly if anyone has a lead on kids for these websites and if anyone wants to post fighting responses to my comments above please don't as I have no time for that.
  5. @ontherise219 ..... I just want to point out that @TysonNisley has added some real quality posting to this board and some great comments. Great to see a young man like him coming on here and bringing fire like he has. Thanks Tyson, keep up the great posting work !!!
  6. I list Ben "The Bandit" Dalton. Just ran into hammers every year but the kid is really good and to talk to him he is a very funny and entertaining kid also. Congrats Ben on a great 4 yrs
  7. I def agree about Gabe, great kid from a great family. Only issue here @IU89 & @TeamGarcia is that he did not actually sleep on Gabe, he put him in the write up and covered his bases by saying: "#3 Gabe Sollars and #5 Cody Timmerman are talented wrestlers too that could contend for that spot, and maybe even see themselves under the lights" So with that said, I would say great write up overall @TysonNisley ; best of luck to you in college and the remainder of your journey. Good luck to all the kids competing and I hope for safe competition for all.
  8. I have been around Alec for a few years with ISWA teams and agree with @Mattyb. @Freeman90 has raised one heck of a polite and athletic kid and should be very proud and Alec is very deserving of the success he is now experiencing. Best of luck the rest of the way !!
  9. i was informed 3A is at Franklin and 4A is at brownsburg
  10. seriously though..... your posts are in no way beneficial to this board. Do everyone a favor and just read posts and stop trying to add your worthless content.
  11. camera was on an automated system and is new this year. the AD is aware of the issues and will be working to get it taken care of for next dual.
  12. who knew the ISWA was the leading trendsetting entity of things by cancelling the Folkstyle State when we lost our venue leading to the NCAA's cancelling events and the NBA, MLB following suit. I guess we are all in good company with our "overreaction" of things. Just shaking my head at some people on here, but it also gives me a good laugh too and they say laughter is the best medicine so I guess we are all getting better with every idiotic post.
  13. @UncleJimmy probably is too busy to suggest that I sit in for a Q&A session on all things ISWA, but let me know guys when I am getting scheduled so I can clear my calendar.
  14. Hey AJ I couldn't figure out how to send you a direct message, can you please call me Jason Miller 219-730-9489. thanks
  15. Nothing finalized yet, there are def lots to talk about and the biggest thing is expansion because we did have several teams waitlisted and want them to have a chance to chase the title and get the competition. stay tuned more to come for sure. Thanks for the kudos, but its def a team effort by all that helped out with the Carmel HS staff/kids and the ISWA.
  16. Congrats to all teams that participated in yesterday's event. It was very successful and was well ran. With that being said obviously congrats go to the Champions Center Grove and the runner up Jay County and 3rd place finisher Brownsburg as well. I want to recognize another team for what I feel sometimes gets over looked and goes without mentioning too often. At the end of the day the voice on the microphone announced that we would ask all teams to do their part in cleaning up their area. While myself and a couple other ISWA directors, board members and the president were collecting our equipment someone commented to the Perry Meridian team and coaches that we appreciated them cleaning up their area. They advised us they had already cleaned up their area and were cleaning up another area on their way out the door. Then after that was completed 2 kids from that team came to the ISWA President and myself and very politely & respectfully asked if there was anything else they could do to help us and thanked us for the day. Keep in mind these are MS kids showing the maturity and grace of what we would expect from most if not all of our HS age kids. Now this is where I should and would normally make a joke at the expense of @lewdwar but in this case I feel its best to just keep it classy and say thank you and you are doing a great job mentoring and leading those kids and it definitely is showing !!!! Respectfully, Jason Miller ISWA Kids Director
  17. sorry guys, I had this typed and thought I hit send, but it appears it never sent but here were my locks: 106---have to recuse myself from this one 113--Cottey 120--Seltzer 126--Lowery 132--Mendez 138--borman 145--Viduya 152--Kervin 160--Dickens 170--Deters 182--Walker 195--Alred 220--Bates Hwt--Parsons How did I do ? I also was out sick and did not get to see any results yet ??
  18. Hey AJ, I think you already contacted the ISWA office, but that is who will have the paperwork if still needed. Now the bigger issue is getting the pymt made and that as well as all the paperwork to be completed are on the ISWA website under the Team IN tab and duals...… then heartland duals. pay on there and fill out paperwork on there all in 1 stop. feel free to reach out to me if any other questions
  19. @GenHeavyHandz nothing but positive thoughts man, hated to read this all this morning. I hope you have a speedy recovery, and I have to be the one to say it...…. if this is a hoax you may make poster/thread HOF, heck this thread may already make the HOF !!!!!!
  20. maybe the Warren people...…. @mikemorgan or krulik can open the wrestling room during state for this special exhibition contest ??? sign waiver forms to release school from any liability and let the bodies hit the floor as @TeamGarcia always says ??
  21. It is very unfortunate...……….but with my ISWA duties I will be there but will not be able to be a corner guy and to be honest I am a fan and would hate to take sides. @FCFIGHTER170 and @GenHeavyHandz have never done or said anything to me out of sorts so as far as that goes I am a simple fan of the event and will enjoy the battle. Now if @Y2CJ41 was involved I would be the opposite corner (LOL.... I kid)
  22. I will take Snyder any day of the week...……….not to mention if he was not in the corner then you run the risk of him being across the mat in the other corner and that is bad news for you. 4 days......oh boy !!!
  23. This is total disrespect and not needed. You sir are a classless individual and clearly I say this without knowing who you are because you don't sign your posts. I hope to hell you are not someone I know on a personal level because I think this kind of a statement towards a kid is just un-called for and you should re-think your posts in the future.
  24. Tough wrestling all day long is my prediction
