  1. Really hoping he ends up being a Hawk.
  2. Definitely thought it was Zain's move. Yianni just wrapped the chest and went with it. The camera from the other side of the mat illustrates the sequence much clearer, IMO. Ultimately, the correct call was made. Sucks it's all become such a mess. No way in the world would I take on reffing a high level FS bout.
  3. Taylor's out. Downey will be our rep at 86kg.
  4. I 'd say there's a good chance Dake and Taylor both could end up skipping Final X and requesting a later date. I think they have up until 2 weeks before acclimation camp to get it in. USAW can deny the request, but of course they'll do anything to get two WC's on the team. Will be interesting to see how it plays out.
  5. Yianni: Kid's on fire and I don't see Zain bringing anything new to the table. Dake: Ringer winning wouldn't surprise me in the least. Dude has looked good. Taylor: Really dislike DT and would love to see Downey win, but, not happening. Cox: Bo has impressed but I really don't see this being all that close. Gable: I think he's our future at the weight. Why not go ahead and take it? Gilman: Will wreck Fix in two. My man!! Graff: Finally breaks through and makes his first team. Green: Won't be close. JB: see Green v. Deakin. Snyder: Gadson will hang, always does. Snyder's just too much.
  6. Excellent showing from Yianni. 65kg has been an problem weight for us internationally for some time. Going forward, I like Yianni's chances to change that. That said, the most impressive US Open result was Deakin taking out two time world medalist Green.
  7. Yes, and the year before that. I took @Powerline as claiming 25s that move up don't do much for the depth of 33. Micic began as a 25, moved up and made 33 deeper a couple years back. Just like Suriano and Lizak did this year.
  8. you do realize Micic was also a 125 that moved up to 133, right?
  9. Senior 132.. Anybody trying to scrap?
  10. It'd be cool to see the EMD boys bring the tights back.
  11. Evansville, 6 Garcia Mills G. Rooks B. Lee J. Lee Van Horn New Castle, 4 Bailey Melloh Bane Parris East Chicago, 2 L. Davison A. Davison Fort Wayne, 2 Curtis Ellis
  12. As a Castle fan, I'd rather make the drive twice than not make it at all.
  13. I think he got the better of him twice this past fall. GFC and Super 32.
  14. Shot clock point. Push out point. If nothing is happening on the mat, stand them up. ^^that might help.
  15. No offense taken. All good. Neutral. As long as you're presenting yourself and not fleeing, you're okay. Bottom. If you're "balling up" you're not presenting yourself. Yes, that's stalling.
  16. No. That's not what I'm saying. If I'm ahead and on top, I have to assume the bottom man, the wrestler that needs to score points, is trying to get out. Yes, riding him is a legit strategy. I was giving my thoughts on the top man being called for stalling because he's not "looking to turn". You brought the bottom and neutral positions into the discussion. Stalling is a judgement call made by the official. It's always "ambiguous".
  17. I agree, it can be very boring and it's not my favorite version of the sport to watch either. But if I'm the top man and have a comfortable lead I'd just assume stay in control if I can. Right? Why create action if I don't need it?
  18. It's the bottom man's job to get out. I like the riding time rule and find it completely absurd to ever hit the top man for stalling when both wrestlers are on the mat. I'm still not sure how I feel about the five count when the top man drops to a leg though.
  19. 145- Lee 152- Lee 220- Parris 195- Davison 113- Garcia 120- Mills 285- Ellis 170- Van Horn 132- Bailey 160- Bane 126- Rooks 138- Melloh 106- Curtis 182- Davison
  20. He will be. But burning the shirt in Carver against a returning AA?? Really?? Echoing this from PSU's board; if Cael was this insecure about 174, why not start Hall from the get go?
