Justin Ratliff got a reaction from Coplen187 in Most Impressive over the holiday
What place did Yarrbarrow get at Ironman? Who did he beat to get there?
Oh yeah. Horn beat Yarrbarrow 3-0. Just stating the facts. 🎤

It’s not mic drop. Kids placed at Fargo and lost to Indiana kids after at tournaments like IHPO . I’m not questioning if the kids are talented or not but your before season justification is wrong. For Example we have Super 32 placers losing in season to Indiana kids who won’t get the invite to Ironman. It’s wrestling and every week it can change. Most top kids are one mistake away from being on the wrong side of that. Post season will bring some exciting matches and kids will get a chance to prove themselves and looking forward to it.

Makes sense... Unless there's a recent head-to-head result.

It's in the works, give us time. We are thinking of calling it THE State, does that sound cool or what?

Now imagine we were a classed state.......

Is it too much to ask to have some kind of season-ending tournament to see if the rankings are of any use? This might be a bit much to reconcile, but I would gladly welcome a crumb of humoring.

Nope, Not today. If he were wearing Purple or Red and White we wouldn't being hearing complaints. You can't drop someone who hasn't lost. As I'm often told when someone I think should be ranked: gotta beat them when it matters. Nothing new here the rankings have been based off the IHPO results for years now. And at 106 with no returning state placers.....Horn get's the nod. And he deserves it he is a phenom. That being said Rev, Rioux, Bollinger, and Ocampo, all get a shot at the title and i wouldn't count either of them out.

Horn isn’t going to lose. Have you seen how big he has gotten. Kid is a monster. Hopefully we get to see Horn vs Dickman under the lights. It will be a good one for sure!

I do believe IHPO has been considered in season for quite a few years now although Faulkens may disagree. Every kid that enters IHPO knows what they are in for and that the results will be used for rankings. So until they get matched up again the results speak for themselves.

Justin Ratliff reacted to jleising in Connersville Classic
I did notice that the entry section is up on Track for this already. I know most of us may have changes to our line ups, but if you are interested in what criteria is being used it's in the information tab. It's pretty straight forward. This is, IMHO, going to make this a much better event.

I believe that being on track and streamed could bring back some interest in this historical tournament. Some modern convenience at the very least.
Now on to some more important issues. Where are all the good eats and drinks to be had?

Justin Ratliff reacted to Y2CJ41 in Should Kyle Ayersman lose his Region card?
In one of the most disgusting acts of humaness this weekend, @Kyle Ayersman forcibly removed bacon from his breakfast sandwich. I cannot explain how utterly disgusted I was at this act. I will need @regionrat1to review the Region Code of Conduct to see if this is in the by-laws. Before that we will continue to live in a democracy and let the people vote on Kyle's Region card status.

I have the privilege of running this tournament in its inaugural year on Track and I can say for certain it will be seeded accordingly. Should be an exciting couple of days of wrestling and we are definitely going to make it a great event for wrestlers, teams and fans.

Justin Ratliff reacted to TripleB in **Rankings Update** Evansville #2
To answer your question - No no one gets down to Harrison and Crawford County!!
And Feeler was in my top 4!! He trained w/ me for a year, I knew who he was!
I'm pulling for Zane, he's been on the fringe for a couple of years. One thing that sets Corydon, Crawford County, Hell ,our whole SE part of our SS back is the sheer size and scheduling.
Over in Evansville and up in Indy, those dudes are constantly getting tested. In our part of the state the top guys might only get 1-2 highly competitive matches a year. Jeff Classic in a few weeks will be a good gauge.
I love being wrong, attached is a pic of a young Quinn Harris and is one of my favorite pics. He wasn't in my top 4, he might notta been in my top 8. He punched his ticket, found me and we snapped this pic.
I was wrong on Joe Buttler 2 years ago and immediately messaged his dad and congratulated him on making me eat crow.
Zane, best of luck and find me when you punch that ticket so I can congratulate you and get a pic together.
TripleB, out!

Justin Ratliff reacted to Y2CJ41 in 2A #2 Delta @ 2A #1 Jay County
2A has a lot of parity this year. The quarters and semi-finals will be very good matches. The top 10 teams all have almost the identical type of teams comprised of 3-5 REALLY good kids, 5-8 pretty solid kids, then a couple holes. Match-ups will play a HUGE factor at the 2A level. Unlike the past couple years with runaway winners, this year will be very exciting from the get-go.
I could see the loser tonight in the dual winning 2A state and the winner getting knocked off in the quarters or semis at state.
Personally, I am looking forward to seeing how this class shakes out at team state this year.
