  1. Ketchup does not belong on a dog unless you are a toddler
  2. Thank you Region Sports for the broadcast. I also enjoyed the commentary.
  3. what time finals start? Stuck at home with the flu.
  4. I hear (or read) so much about what semi state is best represented at state. What conference has the best showing at state?
  5. I'll repeat what I put on an other thread. I never seen him wrestle before this weekend, but Mr. Thrine you have a fan in Da Region. Congrats on a well deserved championship.
  6. Mister Thrine. You have a fan in the region. congrats on the championship
  7. I love the authenticity of the commentary. Reminding us we are all fans of the oldest sport in the world. Thanx for your work this weekend.
  8. I'm not a ref, or ever trained to be one. I think a lot of the calls mentioned were surprising to me. Being from the region I was used to stalling not being called as frequently as I seen today outside of our area. I'm not saying one way is better than the other I've just always thought (my opinion) that in the past different areas in the state had different technics.
  9. 1. You say this as if I'm smart enough to know what I'm doing. 2. I'm lazy enough to know by saying that, someone on this amazing site will show me a shortcut.
  10. Was trying to research this. I knew it was a long time, wow.
  11. He Didn't look like a freshman. Nice match.
  12. From someone who hasn't worn a singlet in many decades. I 'm always in awe and absolute wonder at the level these individuals have not only elevated their self, but also the sport. I know many old wrestlers from my day who say things like these young kids don't know what it was like in our day. I say we have no idea what it is like in this day. Wrestling was a winter sport between baseball and football with myself and most of my teamates . The commitment and dedication these young wrestlers put in to make it to this stage of the state tournament, I'll answer a previous thread of ( paraphr ase here no harm intended) " Is semi-state an accomplishment". YES
  13. Ha. A coworker was browsing this site for the first time and was reading off the topics to check out. I thought he said "State Seeding". I told him check that one out its always fun this time of year. Gotta Luv Da Region
  14. I was wondering the same thing about the stalling call. Jesse was definitely seemed more aggressive.
  15. To this day I'm still friends with some of the guys from those teams teams. It has been fun to watch the younger generations compete while we still talk smack to each other.
  16. Again to date myself. Portage V Hobart when they were in the DAC. In practice we would count out reps B-E-A-T H-O-B-A-R-T.
  17. After reading this, I have to agree. Wrestling in the 80's for a team from the Region that did not travel south or to what are now considered high profiled tourneys. We all knew who Lance Ellis was.
  18. Ayersmen (spelling?) State Finals comeback. It had me standing on my toes.
  19. After watching the NW v Iowa Duel. Has there been another time that a Big Ten School has had 3 individuals from the same school in the same dual?
  20. WOW! That is outstanding. "Team with the deepest wgt class?" Team Indiana Girls
  21. Iowa is known for traveling well. I Expected that. Noticed the new football staff showed up.
