  1. Well I wasn't looking to start anything. My favorite style of wrestling is greco i loved it and still do. I dont like free style because of the rolls the only reason i did it was to work on my technique for folk style scoring moves and to grapple for greco practice. I already know i am not going anywhere in hs since this is my senior year and did not wrestle or college to wrestle. I have many friends in MMA and one who i grew up with thats training in Thailand right now. I have been thinking about doing that after school with him but I want to do greco this year and wrestle in free style to work on greco. To me greco means alot more then folkstyle or free style. I was asking for a coach because I was going to dedicate everything I had left to it. And ftw just wrestling greco is a whole different wrestling you have to always keep your body weight down and never shift forward unless u want thrown the only person to ever catch me and throw me in folk style or free style was conner lefever if someone has never wrestled greco i have learned that they dont no how many lock up situations they could have won but couldnt take advantage of it and wasted time and energy opening up a shot when they could have put them straight to there back. But again i am only looking for a coach because i no of none at cc club that has ever wrestled greco out of club or done more than every other meet. I wanted someone who loves greco as much as i do and would help me.
  2. Hi, I am looking for a Greco coach around Columbia City, I wrestled for columbia city's club for one year my freshman. After that year our only coach who has every wrestled greco left to move out west and I decided just to do normal wrestling through highschool. I ended up not wrestling this year due to I had a kid and work after school in the morning till 3:30 and could not make it to practices. I have decided I want to not look back and say i wished I would have wrestled one last time in club. The first and only year I tried greco i placed 4th in state the 3rd place kid and 2nd place I beat 2 or 3 times that year but due to the way the brackets were set up I had to wrestle the #1 Jake Massengal twice out of 3 matches, He never pinned me but he won by decision and i was knocked out. I have time to go to club after 4or 5 pm but our club doesnt have a greco coach to really teach or work with me. If someone is interested please feel free to comment and ask questions or message me an email for me to reply to.
  3. I saw that 195 had 2 placeese open just a though, i know for 195 think about brian richardson at 8th depending on who else you have to put there he only lost to the west noble kid by 1 point and has done very well since, these are only sugestions since the spot was open or cj botswit from dwenger
  4. thank you for adding him and ftw he is in 12th grade if that was why a number wasnt next to his name
  5. Jason Nicodemous beat Bradley Sadilek and Jason isnt even on the 220 ?
  6. you forgot greco that is all throws no rolls
  7. I dont think the refs should have a say on slaming in a match unless one of the wrestlers is clearly the better athlete and is clearly doing it to show off. The reason I think this is if the kid who got slammed is neck and neck with the slammer, shouldnt he be the one to decide if he can't contiue to be dq'd or wants to be a real man and continue wrestling and just take 2 points for being slammed, make the slammer pay for the mistake but dont cost him the match for an adrenaline rush in the 2nd most physical sport there is. Every wrestler knows that every match he goes into he could get hurt thats part of the fun of wrestling, its as close to fighting in school you can get without getting in trouble.
  8. Ok i do see your point there. The main point I am getting at is why would a kid go and be a tattle tale in wrestling. This is supposed to be a sport where everything is fair and only "your" talent or hardwork is what can win a match. I could see if it was something like oh he's adding weights or doing something clearly against the rules or clearly questionable where you could take a middle school wrestler and he would know. But seriously when someone is taking drinks of water and they tell on them what is wrestling getting to, just so they might not have to wrestle him. I had to wrestle Jimmy LaRowe my freshman year and Conner Lefever my sophmore and I never gave up or tried to get out of it, now I hear kids complaining about who they hve to wrestle all the time. We need less focus on the little rules and focus more on the pure competition of the sport, for instance since when could a ref with no medical degree over rule a md on a rash or scratch ? This sport is getting as bad as the nfl with rules
  9. nothing about this makes sense have any of you seen the rule book, if our coaches were told to teach the kids the rules for wrestling with all the changes made every year football season would have to end in august so wrestling practice could start 2 weeks into august and then the season could start in nov. just so the kids could learn all these stupid rules. sports are ment to be fun but the fun ended in the early 2000's when sports started getting way to political next it will have to be wrestlers have to weigh in naked to make sure their not having small weights in their boxers to bump them up a class oh btw again sips of water dont make you gain ***potty mouth*** ask a personal trainer you will only gain what the water weights therefor if he took a total 10 sips equaling maybe a pound and yet he weighs 200 thats a snowballs chance in hell he will go over 220 i mean i dont think i even could eat 20 lbs in 1 day
  10. Alright I had to make an account just to post about this. First off this coach is an amazing coach I used to wrestle for him, I even wrestled for Columbia City but I would not trade this coach for any others. Not even to have individual time with angel if that says anything. Also the man who was DQ'd was not some snot nose brat or trouble maker, I go to school with him. He is an all A student and plays more than one sport. He is a respectable guy and not only this he would never intentionally break a rule or cause trouble for his team, or another team. As to the water its a stupid rule in the first place, this kid drinks 4 or 5 water bottles full of water just in a 7 hour school day he was never drinking it just to keep his weight up. Not only that the water bottle he was using could not hold the amount of weight needed to gain to go to the next weight class, therefor its not even humanly possible to keep his weight up by drinking SIPS of water. Some people need to know more about the human body before mouthing off. Not to mention the coach or kid who complained was probably intimidated by the kid just because of his shier size from working out 3 times a day and holding some of our schools weight lifting records.
